If you follow this blog regularly you know that I’ve been taking Thursdays off to work on my forthcoming book. And if you are a regular reader, you’ll also know that Amber and Joe are two of my best friends and they’re regular guest stars on here!

Well, this week was Joe’s birthday, so we celebrated Monday night. Of course I brought the MBIP Camera along to pester everyone with photos of this special night! And here we go…

We started out at the MBIP World Headquarters and I gave Joe a few gifts, this was a little bit of a last minute celebration, so I did my shopping at Walgreens because it was Labor Day!

We decided to eat the birthday dinner at Weaver’s Fresh Food and Drink. A wonderful birthday dinner destination!

Earlier in the day I brought this birthday cake over to surprise Joe with after dinner. They were kind enough to play along and I forgot to write this woman’s name down, but she was very friendly and, as you can see, very pretty! I’ll try and get her name on the next visit!

Lots of people were dining here, this place has become one of Peoria’s more popular restaurants! J.C. was our cute waitress and she delivered a beer and took our birthday dinner order!

Here’s Amber and Joe at our table and now I’m going to run around and take a few more pre-dinner photos. Hey, it’s what I do!

There’s a side room off from the main dining room and there also tables that line the far wall on an elevated step up. And of course there’s the faux fireplace over here!

I took a photo from each end of the bar and one of the many beers on tap behind the bar. If you like beer, you’ll love it here…hey, I just wrote them a new slogan!

Meanwhile, back at our table the birthday dinner is starting to arrive!

We started off with an appetizer order of Crab Stuffed Mushrooms. The mushrooms are stuffed with tasty lump crabmeat and then covered with a melted cheese blend. These are always so delicious and tonight was no exception to that rule of taste!

Here’s our trio of entrees: Joe got a Cheesesteak Sandwich and Fries, Amber had a bowl of Chili and I opted for the Chili Mac.

Everything looks and smells absolutely fabulous!

We also got an order of wings for the table and we got them tossed in the Sweet Chili Sauce and they were tasty and top-notch chicken wings!

All the entrees were so tasty and delicious! A fantastic birthday dinner was had by all!

After dinner they surprised Joe with the cake complete with birthday candles and a rousing version of Happy Birthday! Thanks to these pretty and friendly women for helping to make the end of the evening so much fun!
