I can’t believe it’s almost been ten years since I’ve gone to a theatre production at Corn Stock Theatre. Back in November of 2013 I went and saw The Graduate at the indoor theatre there. It was directed by Chip Joyce and it was such a fabulous show!
Well it only makes sense that almost ten years later I’d be heading out to the outdoor theatre to see the aforementioned Chip Joyce starring alongside a very talented cast in a musical adaptation of the film, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. They had their final production last Saturday, but if you missed it, here’s some photos from last Tuesday’s presentation.
Here we are at the outside tent location of Corn Stock Theatre. Let’s go get a ticket!
Working the ticket booth was Carolyn, Samala and Angie.
We met Carolyn a few years ago at the Chillicothe Town Theatre and it was great to see her and meet the other ladies behind the ticket booth at Corn Stock Theatre!
Here we are inside of the theatre. It’s a large area and there’s not a bad seat in the house!
I met Aliesha who’s on the board of directors here at Cornstock inside of the theatre.
And here’s one of the aforementioned stars of the show, Chip Joyce with Jimmy Lahood, who I don’t thnk we’ve seen since the production of The Graduate here at Cornstock back in 2013!
Great to see him again and looking forward to seeing Chip onstage in this production!
I got a shot of the cast as they were hanging out at the theatre before the show. I can’t wait to see them all in action at the show!
There’s Greg and JoAnn from Popcorn Heaven selling their delicious popcorn outside. Always wonderful to see these two and sample their tasty popcorn!
They have a full band here including Tim Harr on guitar! Great to see him and all of the other musicians tuning up for tonight’s show!
As I went back into the theatre, I ran into my friend Jerry Kolb who’s been busy putting together the Blue Ridge Community Farm Fall Concert Series. Go and check this out if you can!
Okay, here we are at my seat and it’s just about showtime at the Corn Stock Theatre!

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
You can’t take photos during the show, but here’s some photos from their facecrack page.
All of these photos are by Samantha Marie.
This was such a marvelous production and it reminded me of how many talented people there are here in the Peoria theatre scene. Even though though you might have missed out on this, there’s many other productions happening here at Corn Stock Theatre. Come on out and check out a show!
What a fun evening and a fantastic show!
