Live, from Peoria, Illinois, it’s Saturday Afternoon starring this week’s host, the Sound of Peoria and featuring special guest stars, Nicole, Mike, Pat and Saki!
Now please welcome this week’s host, the Sound of Peoria!
Welcome to a rare Saturday Afternoon edition of MBIP!
The Sound of Peoria was having their 1st Anniversary Party last Saturday afternoon and I wanted to stop by, drop off a gift and wish them a hearty congratulations on their first year in business, so that’s exactly what I did.
It certainly looks festive here!
I love this building! Back in the day this was a gas station and I later did blogs from here when it was Keith Cotton’s photo studio and later when it was the California Fitness Center.
They were selling t-shirts and merch at this table and I bought a t-shirt from Pat who was running the table. I love her smile!
Here’s the owner of the Sound of Peoria, Mike and he introduced me to his lead installation man, Saki!
Great to see Mike again and meet Saki. This is a very friendly place and if you need any stereo equipment for your car, this is the place to go to!
They had a DJ spinning tunes from The City of Peoria Pit Crew DJ’s.
You can read all about this DJ group and their upcoming House Music Festival at Glen Oak Park on September 9th by clicking right here.
There was a Kona Shaved Ice Truck off to the side of the building serving up sweet treats.
Bags of chips and cookies were available over here.
And at this table, this couple were serving up fresh house-made tacos!
They told me they do this just for fun now, but may start making them from a food truck or a location down the road. I gave them an MBIP card and told them to call me when they start something up, so stay tuned for their debut when they do a start-up!
Wow, I hope they do start something up, these tacos were absolutely delicious and fantastic!
The shop was closed for the day, but I took a photo from the side door.
If you need any kind of car stereo hook-up or installation, this is the place to come to. If they don’t have what you need in-house, they can find it and order it for you! This is a one-stop car stereo shop!
I was getting ready to go and Mike to me over to meet his lovely wife, Nicole.
Great to meet her and to see Mike again. Thanks for the fun party and happy anniversary! Cheers to many more years of business here in Peoria!
