Summer officially happened this week, so I thought I’d bring back the Please Grill Me series and have it run from now until Labor Day.
Okay, let’s go out on the MBIP World Headquarters Balcony and fire up the MBIP Grill!
There’s the MBIP World Headquarters Grillling Station, I haven’t turned this on since last August.
I plugged it in and she fired right up! I turned it up to 400 degrees and we’ll let it warm up for a few minutes.
I have these small foil tubs that conveniently hold one chicken leg apiece and so I put one in each and covered them with a marinade of soy sauce, Jalapeno mustard and black and red pepper.
They marinated in by refrigerator overnight and now I’m going to let them cook awhile in the marinade on the grill to really cook that flavor into them.
I put them on the top rack and we’ll let them cook for about twenty minutes and then check them out.
I think it’s a perfect to uncork a tallboy Bud Light!
I got some potatoes for tonight’s dinner, which you’ll see in a minute and I wanted to make a dipping sauce for them.
I found this Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce at the store. It’s basically a sauce for any kind of food and I thought I’d use that for the base.
Look at the picture of Country Bob, he kind of looks like Tom Snyder in a cowboy hat!
I took one of the mini foil tubs and put a generous amount of the sauce in there and also added some soy sauce and hot sauce to it.
I then put the tub on a burner with low heat to warm it up for the potato dipping!
Okay, I wanted to take a look at the chicken legs and they look like they’re cooking up very nicely!
I took the foil off the top, put them back on the grill to let them cook a little longer in the marinade.
Here’s the aforementioned potatoes. They’re Green Giant Cajun Seasoned Mini Red Potatoes.
The preparation is pretty easy, just put the bag in the microwave oven for six minutes. I can do that!
Okay, I’m going to put the chicken legs straight on the grill rack to get a little searing on them.
Six minutes later the potatoes are done and so are the chicken legs. It’s time for the first grilled dinner of the season!
This looks like a fantastic dinner!
The chicken legs look tasty and those Cajun potatoes are intriguing. I can’t wait to see how they taste dipped into that sauce!
The chicken legs are fantastic!
They’re bursting with flavor! The soy sauce is the dominant flavor with a hint of the mustard and a little heat and zing from the red pepper seasoning.
Really delicious and satisfying!
The potatoes were equally delicious and that sauce is unbelievably tasty!
I ended up dunking the chicken legs in it as well and I think you’re going to be seeing a lot of Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce on these grilling episodes this summer!
