I have to admit it’s getting a little tough to produce material for this blog while I’m stuck here at MBIP World Headquarters. Here’s an update on the hip-replacement recovery: It’s been two weeks and while I’m now able to walk without a walker, there’s still pain and my right foot is still pretty badly swollen.
I called the doctor’s office and the nurse said recovery times for hip replacement vary with each patient. Some have enough recovery to drive in two to four weeks, others it can be four to six weeks. It’s just been a little over two weeks for me and this week I started walking on my own and the pain isn’t nearly as bad, so I am making progress.
But I still can’t drive, so I’m stuck here, so today I thought I’d put up some pictures and tell you about a meal I made the other night.
Alright…let’s cook.
Here’s the ingredients for tonight’s dinner, clockwise from top left: Classico Creamy Alfredo Sauce, Pasta, Mushrooms, Round Steak and Perdue Sliced Chicken.
First we’ll get the sauce going.
We’ll put the Alfredo sauce in the pan and then season it up and stir it all together and let it simmer on a low heat to let all the flavors blend together.
Next we’ll pour some Extra Virgin Olive Oil onto this pre-heated pan.
Then I chopped up the round steak and cooked and seasoned that in the pan and then added it to the seasoned and spicy Alfredo sauce.
I covered that and we’ll let that simmer while we…
Cook up the chicken and mushrooms in the seasoned pan and then add them to the spicy sauce.
I found this pasta which you can cook up in 60 seconds in the microwave. So a minute later…
I’m adding the pasta to the spicy Alfredo sauce and we’ll let this simmer so all the flavors can blend together.
While that’s simmering, we’ll have an appetizer of a gigantic can of Bud Light.
Chhers!
Here’s the Spicy Steak, Chicken and Mushroom Pasta, it looks and smells heavenly!
This was a delicious dinner if I do say so myself and I just did, so there!
