I’m going to have some downtime here on the blog. As I mentioned yesterday, I can only do so much while cooped up in MBIP World Headquarters after my hip replacement surgery. Even when I can drive I don’t know if I’ll be up for doing blogs for another week or so, so I though on down days, I can put up a couple pictures and a link to a post from the past.
The first newspaper that I ever got paid to write for was the Pekin Daily Times. It was in 1991 and I ended up freelancing for them for two years. I took a trip back there in 2014 and Michelle Teheux, who was the editor at the time gave me a tour and I took some photos. There’s also some of my past freelance articles that I wrote for the Pekin Daily Times.
I also wrote about how I met legendary editor and writer Dick Stolley and that meeting led me to moving to New York City in 1993, where I lived and wrote for 19 years.
