My cousin’s, Danny and Patty usually travel to Peoria once a year to see friends and family. I’m always honored that they take time to have a visit with me and it’s always fun to hang out with them.
Covid ruined their travel plans for a couple years but they had a trip planned and they got hold of me. The only problem was I was having hip surgery and wouldn’t be able to go anywhere. So they generously offered to pick up a pizza from Agatucci’s and bring it over so we could have dinner and visit for a while.
In fact, I think they’re at the MBIP World Headquarters front door right now, let’s go and say, hi!
There’s Danny and Patty with a pizza from Agatucci’s and Danny Agatucci was nice enough to add a bottle of beer to the order, free of charge!
It’s great to see them and I set my camera down and gave them a tour of the new MBIP World Headquarters and we sat down for pizza, beer and fun conversation.
The only problem was, I forgot to pick my camera back up to document the evening, so this is the only photo I have! In my defense, I was on pain medication, so it’s easy to be forgetful when you’re taking happy pills!
It was a fun evening and I really appreciate Danny and Patty bringing pizza over and catching up after not seeing them for over two years.
I decided since I only had one photo from this latest get-together, I’d put up some photos and links to visits from Danny and Patty in the past.
So it’s back to the past we go!

This post happened in the summer of 2014. The Chef & The Baker had just opened up in this location and I had heard good things, so we agreed to meet there for lunch.
There’s the owners, Ian and Karen and their son, Gabriel! It was great to meet them, very nice people!
And there’s Patty and Danny, it was wonderful to see them and we had a fun and festive lunch!

School Lunch! Back To School Days @ Spalding Pastoral Center - August 16, 2017
In 2014, I published a blog about what used to be Peoria Spalding Institute and is now the Spalding Pastoral Center. I got a tour of this historical building and when Dan and Patty told me they were coming to town, I made plans that we could have lunch in the school lunch room and take a tour of the building, because Dan went and graduated from Spalding.
Here they are and it’s off we go. I didn’t tell them where we were going to surprise them. I just gave them directions to…
The new location of the Chef & The Baker. And there’s Karen and Ian with the newest addition to their family above them. They’re still at this location and you can check them out at facecrack right here!
Here’s the historical Spalding Pastoral Center Building.
Here we are in the lunchroom enjoying our lunch. Dan said it brought back a lot of memories for him!

The Third Annual Danny, Patty, Marty, MBIP Luncheon - September 5th, 2018
Fast forward to Labor Day Weekend, 2018!
Patty and Dan picked me up and we traveled to West Peoria and had lunch at El Zarape, which sadly closed recently.
Danny and his family lived in West Peoria and the top photo is the house he and his family lived in and the bottom two photos are pictures of the house that our Grandpa Seitz lived in. Speaking of Grandpa Seitz…
We had to stop at his favorite watering hole, Mike’s Tavern!
Cheers and thanks to Danny and Patty for always taking the time to hang out with me on their trips back to Peoria! I hope to see you two next year and I’ll try and remember to take more pictures next time!
