Live, from Peoria, Illinois, it’s Saturday Night starring this week’s host, Obed & Isaac’s Microbrewery and Eatery featuring special guest stars, Amber and Joe and featuring, Alyssa, Molly, Seth and Tammy.
Now, please welcome this week’s host, all the way from beautiful downtown Peoria, Obed & Isaac’s Microbrewery and Eatery!
Here we are at Obed & Isaac’s Microbrewery & Eatery in downtown Peoria.
This historical building goes all the way back to 1887 when the congressional members of The Second Presbyterian Church elected to build a new church on this corner.
Decades later it’s now Obed & Isaac’s Microwbrewery & Eatery.
As we enter, there’s the hostess station with Alyssa behind the podium. She said there would be a short wait for a table, but I could wait at the bar, which sounded fine to me!
And so it was off to the bar we went and Molly was working behind the bar and served up an ice-cold beer.
I love the Obed & Isaac’s sign hanging from the wooden rafters overhead.
I was told that our table was ready and check it out, my friends Amber and Joe are there already! Always great to see them and I’m happy to have them along on this Saturday night out on the town!
We checked out the menu and Seth came and took our orders for our Saturday night dinners.
After we ordered dinner, I went and took some shots of the dining area of Obed & Isaac’s.
This the back room that’s known as the Altar Table room that you can rent out for a private party.
Here’s another room in the back that can be rented out for private parties and functions.
That’s Tammy in the last photo who’s the Assistant Manager and Events Coordinator.
They have outside seating and a bar outside, but since it’s starting to get chilly outside, it’s not open now. We’ll come back in the spring and check out the beer garden when it’s warmer.
As I went back to our dining table with Amber and Joe, I discovered our food had arrived!
We started off with an appetizer of the Buffalo Chicken Dip. This is a blend of cream cheese, smoked gouda, sour cream and chunks of buffalo chicken topped with green onion and served with deep-fried homemade pita chips.
It was delicious and a wonderful start to our Saturday night dinner!
Here’s our main courses that we ordered.
Amber got the Honey, Goat and Bacon Flatbread, Joe got the Beer and Whiskey Burger and Fries and I got the Jagerschnitzel and Spaetel.
The Jagerschnitzel and Spaetel were delicious. It’s German Pork that’s served with a crunchy breading and covered in mushroom gravy.
The Spaetel side dish are egg noodles and the dish is so tasty and satisfying.
For dessert we split an order of the Nutella Poppers and they were deep-fried orbs stuffed with warm Nutella. What a sweet treat to end the meal with
Talk about your happy endings!
Thanks to Amber and Joe for joining me for this fabulous dinner at Obed & Isaac’s in beautiful downtown Peoria!
