One of the biggest influences in my life was Punk magazine.
Punk was the first “do it yourself” fanzine that I ever saw. It was first published in January of 1976 when I was a senior in high school. I used to buy it at Co-op Tapes and Records on Main Street.
The editor of the magazine was John Holmstrom and the “resident punk” was Legs McNeil. I would get to know both of them after I moved to New York in 1993. Below are six links to Punk magazine online articles and three links to two interviews with Legs McNeil and one with John Holmstrom from my days living in New York City.
And below that is the MBIP Coming Attractions. So there!

Legs McNeil (1996): Part Two - And here’s part two.
Monday: I had a rare night out at a restaurant last night. It was the 50th anniversary of the wedding of Amber’s parents, Chuck and Diane. They had a celebratory dinner at Biaggi’s and we’ll have photos from this spectacular dinner tomorrow! Happy anniversary Chuck and Diane!
Tuesday: We’re going to have yet another Social Distance Sunday and this week we’ll be going to the grocery store to get something for our Sunday night dinner.
Wednesday: We’ll be featuring another local business as we promote local shopping, but I need to figure out where I’m going this week. I haven’t planned this far ahead and I need to catch up!
Thursday: Last week we featured Spam on the Thursday Minute Marty Meal and it got a big reaction. So I thought that this week we’d compare a canned Spam to a canned ham!
Friday: We’ll have two more slider sandwiches as we continue to eat the entire menu at Arby’s.
Saturday: I’m starting a new Saturday series next week, so tune in for that!
