Well, I have to say, I’m not too excited about sampling these two sandwiches from Arby’s this week. I’ve never eaten a Reuben sandwich, but I have tried corned beef a long time ago and I didn’t like it. I’m also not a fan of sauerkraut which is one of the ingredients of a Reuben sandwich.
I’m also going to get the Greek Gyro and last week I had two other gyros that weren’t horrible, but they weren’t great either.
So I’m not too excited about this week’s trip to Arby’s, but this has to be done, so away we go!
I’m really dreading eating these two sandwiches, but it’s off to the drive-through we go. At least this finishes off the Signature Menu.
Well, things went well at the drive-through, there was just one truck in front of me and I made it through in just a few minutes.
And here we are at the MBIP World Headquarters Kitchen and Tasting area. It feels like an Arby’s afternoon in here!
The total for these two sandwiches was $12.30. Once again, proving that Arby’s is not cheap fast food. Let’s see if it’s worth it!
Like last week, I’m not too impressed with the brown paper packaging, but at least this week they’re labeled.
Okay, they don’t look too bad unwrapped. The Reuben has marbled bread, which I do like, so things aren’t looking too bad so far.
Both sandwiches don’t look as hideous as the previous Arby’s sandwiches and I like the fact that the sauerkraut on the Reuben is barely visible.
Okay, time to dive into this week’s Arby’s selections!
First Bites
The Greek Gyro: This was actually pretty good. The gyro meat was savory and tasty and much better than last week’s gyros, so we’re off to a good start for once on this Arby’s journey!
The Corned Beef Reuben: Okay, this was quite a pleasant surprise! I actually really liked the Corned Beef Reuben sandwich! Last week my friend Ilene left a comment on facecrack about how good the bread was there and she was right! The marble rye bread was fresh and fantastic and I liked the taste of the corned beef and melted cheese on top of it. I didn’t even taste the sauerkraut and I absolutely enjoyed this sandwich!
The Verdict
Well, this was a pleasant surprise, I actually enjoyed eating both of these sandwiches and I can give them the official MBIP recommendation. Let’s hope next week’s sandwiches are just as good!
