Sonny Bono was a record producer, songwriter, restaurant owner and a politician, but he’s best known as being one half of the musical duo, Sonny and Cher. Cher With Sonny On The David Letterman Show 1987 - I think this is the last time they were on TV together. I remember watching this from my apartment back when it originally aired!
Monday: This weekend marks the one year anniversary that Julie took over the Rhythm Kitchen Music Cafe! We documented the rise of her going from waitress to owner over the years and I went and brought her and her husband Brody an anniversary card and present. And I also had a delicious dinner and enjoyed the music of The Tucked In T’s!
Tuesday: The 26 week Mexican food tours continues and I’m heading to Bloomington, Illinois on the first road trip of this food tour with MBIP pal and Wheelman, Scott Turley. Tune in on Tuesday to see where this trip takes us to!
Wednesday: Yesterday I went to a Gallery Talk presentation by Susanne Nestory where she talked about the art of Christopher Holbrook at the Contemporary Art Center of Peoria . Chris was a friend of mine and one of the most prolific and original artists in Peoria. I’ll share photos from that event and his art on Wednesday.
Thursday: We’ll be cooking in the kitchen for another Thursday Minute Marty Meal. I have a pork chop left over from last week and I’m going to make an Asian Pork Bun Sandwich this week.
Friday: This will be the 11th week of eating the entire menu at McDonald’s to see what is digestible there. We got lucky last week with one digestible sandwich, hopefully this will happen again!
Saturday: We’ll be spotlighting a sandwich from the past on this weekly series.
Okay, Scott is going to be here soon, so I have to pack up the beer…I mean I have to get ready for the road trip to Bloomington. Have a fantabulous Sunday and we’ll see you all tomorrow here on MBIP!
