Live from East Peoria, It’s Saturday Night with your host Tin Lizard and almost featuring musical guests, NATU Band.
Now please welcome from across the river, this week’s host, the Tin Lizard Bar & Grill!
Here we are at the Par-A-Dice Hotel and Casino in East Peoria. Check out the signage for the Tin Lizard!! Let’s go inside and check this place out.
There’s the entrance and the sign says that it’s now open, so let’s go in and start our Saturday night in East Peoria’s newest bar and grill!
Wow, that’s quite a bar and as you can see, it’s pretty crowded in here, let’s snag one of the few empty seats in here and get settled in for the evening.
I found a seat at the end of the bar and Zach served me up a PBR tallboy. I placed my dinner order and the night is off to a stellar start!
Here’s the view of the bar from where I’m seated. I like how they have the TV sets up high above the bar. That way you can watch if you want or can ignore them like I choose to do.
There’s tables for dining surrounding the bar and booths line the outer walls.
Over in the corner is a chill lounge area where you can enjoy cocktails and conversation.
They have live music here and tonight NATU band is playing.
Here they are setting up, I asked if I could take photos of them performing and they graciously said yes.
Meanwhile, back at the bar, our Saturday night dinner is about to be served!
And, whoomp, there it is! I got the grilled cheese cheeseburger which is a huge hamburger sandwiched between not one, but two grilled cheese sandwiches!
This is definitely a tasty food challenge to eat this giganzo cheeseburger creation!
Check out the close-up of this colossal comfort food sandwich!
It was a chore picking it up and wrapping my big mouth around it, but it was worth it!
The grilled cheese consisted of buttered and grilled Texas toast with melted American cheese and the burger was big, juicy, tasty and garnished with grilled onions.
What a taste sensation!
I apologize for not cleaning the plate, but after that grilled cheese, burger combo I just didn’t have room for the pickle! I’ll try to finish it off next time!
And I apologize to the NATU band, I waited awhile for them to come on stage, but I was so full from dinner I had to go home and take a nap! Here’s a link to their facecrack page to make up for it!
