It’s Thanksgiving, so I thought I’d prepare a meal that you can make tomorrow with your turkey leftovers.
So let’s get cooking!
The ingredients for today’s turkey and noodle meal are (clockwise from bottom left): Pillsbury Grand Biscuits, Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom Soup, Heinz Homestyle Mushroom Gravy, Shiitake Mushrooms, Applewood Smoked Turkey Breasts, Pappardelle Artisan Pasta, an onion and sliced carrots.
We’ll also be using other ingredients from the MBIP World Headquarters Kitchen and tasting area.
There’s the Applewood smoked turkey breasts. We’ll put them in a shallow pan, pepper them up and put them in a pre-heated 375 degree oven.
They’ll cook for an hour, so we have some time to kill. Hmmm, now what should we do now?
Oh, I know, we’ll drink a giganzo, 24 ounce can of Bud Light! Cheers!
Now we’ll season the water to boil the pasta in. I’ve added hot sauce, maple seasoning and a dollop of Newman’s Own Balsamic salad dressing.
We’ll put that on high and it’ll take a while for it to reach a rolling boil, so we’ll come back to this later.
I’ve put the cut up onion and carrot slices in a buttered pan and let them sear for a few minutes. Then I took them out so…
I could make the gravy for the meal. I’m using Heinz Home Style Mushroom Gravy and a can of Campbells Cream of Mushroom soup to make the gravy.
I stirred the two together and then seasoned it with pepper and some hot sauce for a little zing-a-ling-a-ding-dong.
Then I added the carrots and onions back in along with the Shiitake mushrooms and stirred it all together. We’ll let that simmer for a few minutes.
Okay, the water is up to a rolling boil so we’ll stir in the pasta to the seasoned water. That will cook for about nine minutes.
The turkey is done and I cut that up and added it to the gravy mixture. Now we’ll let all of that cook together and let the flavors combine in the pan on a low heat.
I took two of the Pillsbury Grand Biscuits and added some butter and honey to the inside and folded them up and put them in the oven.
The noodles are done and drained and I seasoned them with some pepper and maple seasoning. The rolls are baked and the turkey gravy is all ready as well. It’s time to plate up this week’s holiday Marty Meal!
What a flavorful and delicious meal!
The turkey is tender, the noodles are satisfying and the carrots maintained a crunchiness! The honey butter rolls are a sweet compliment to the savory meal. This is definitely a comfort holiday meal!
And now, for this week’s titillating photo montage, we present…Women Eating Noodles!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
