For those of you who regularly read this blog, you know I always enjoyed going to Jack’s On Adams and that Jack Berres, who owned and operated Jack’s is a friend of mine. So I was sad when that closed but was anxiously awaiting the opening of a new Jack’s, located in Bartonville, just minutes from Peoria.

Well, Jack’s Pizza Tavern opened up last December to huge crowds. I’ve patiently waited to go to let Jack and his crew get settled in to the new place. He recently told me that he’s ready to join the 365 bar crawl, so let’s crawl on over to Bartonville and check out Jack’s Pizza Tavern!

Jack’s Pizza Tavern

Here we are at Jack’s Pizza Tavern on a lovely Saturday evening in Bartonville. Let’s go in and check this new place out!

Wow, it’s huge in here and it’s packed! Looks like Jack’s Pizza Tavern is a hit in Bartonville!

I think I see some familiar faces at a table in the back…

It’s my friends, Moon and Chris and there’s the man himself, Jack Berres the owner and operator of this fine new establishment!

Jack snapped a photo of myself with our lovely server, Dawn!

We ordered our dinner and before you know it, our drinks have arrived! They have fantastic service in here, but it always helps when the owner is seated at your table!

Chris and Moon had Old Fashioned cocktails that are garnished with orange slices and a full strip of bacon! Jack was drinking Too Turnt Tea and I had my usual bottle of Budweiser. Cheers!

Jack ordered the Firecracker appetizer for our table and these were so delicious!

They’re crispy on the outside and filled with Jalapeno cream cheese and bacon. A wonderful start to our Saturday night dinner!

As I mentioned at the start, this place is huge and as you can see, it’s become a popular place for Bartonville and beyond!

I love the jack’s Pizza Tavern art on the wall and there’s fun stuff everywhere in here.

If you look real closely at the top photo, you’ll see the hot dog award we gave Jack when he won the best hot dog in Peoria!

Here’s the stage for the live music that happens in here.

There’s gaming machines lining the back wall and there’s also dart boards and a wide array of arcade games in here to amuse the young and the old. Jack’s is definitely a family-friendly restaurant and bar.

There’s fun to be had for all ages in here!

Our Saturday dinner has started to arrive!

We started off with an order of chicken wings and they were, plump, juicy and had just the right amount of spice and zing! We’re off to a fabulous start here at Jack’s Pizza Tavern!

Of course we had to have a pizza here, this is just what you do at Jack’s Pizza Tavern!

The pizza is made from scratch here at Jack’s and it’s a thin crust tavern style pizza and it is so tasty and delicious!

We got “The Special” pizza and it’s got sausage, onion, mushrooms and peppers. It certainly was special and spectacular! If you’ve never had Jack’s pizza, you need to stop in for lunch, dinner or both!

Okay, now it’s time to turn our attention to the bar in here!

Bar Number 57: Jack’s Pizza Tavern, Saturday March 7, 2026

There’s a fun and comfortable bar area in the very back of Jack’s Pizza Tavern.

Alexis served me up a beer with a pretty smile and showed me the massive kitchen area in the back where the food is prepared. This is probably the largest and cleanest kitchen I’ve ever seen!

As you can see, there’s four large television sets on the wall to enjoy all the latest sports happenings.

It’s a very well-stocked bar and they have everything you need to drink back here!
