Bar Number 56: Obed & Isaacs, Friday, March 6, 2026
Here we are at this Friday’s lunch destination, Obed & Isaac’s Microbrewerry & Eatery.
This is an historical buiilding and it’s up for sale! Here’s the details about that and it would be wonderful if someone bought it and kept it just the way it is. Let’s go inside and I’ll show you some pictures of the place.
Here we are and there’s our luncheon destination, the bar which is located in the center of the dining room. Let’s grab a seat and get settled in for the afternoon.
And just as we sat down, our Friday luncheon guest star has arrived!
Here’s Terry Towery who’s a friend that has been featured on the blog many times. Always great to see Terry and catch up with him.
As we’ve reported before, Terry’s a writer who wrote for the PJ Star and the A.P. News and he’s currently working on a psychological thriller novel for Galatea Books which will be published internationally later this year.
They’re currently in the editing stages for the novel and I’ll announce the publishing date here on the blog when it happens.
Always great to see Terry and I appreciate him joining us for lunch!
Krista was the pretty and friendly bartender on duty and here she is serving me one of their house-brewed beers with a super-cute smile!
She took our luncheon order and now I’ll take a few photos inside of here.

There’s a dining area that surrounds the bar and I love the stained glass windows in here!

Lunch is served!
Terry got the Pulled Pork Sandwich with Potato Salad and I got the Jagerschnitzel with Spaetzle. The food looks absolutely delicious!
There’s Terry digging in and he said the Potato Salad and his sandwich was fantastic.
The Jagerschnitzel with Spaetzle was a delicious and unique dish. You can only find this dish at Obed & Isaac’s and I suggest you stop by and try it out!
