Matilda’s Cocktail Lounge opened up over a year ago on State Street in downtown Peoria and I’ve been meaning to go there ever since it opened.
Well, that night is finally here because Matilda’s is going to be our last teen bar as we make our 19th stop on this bar crawl.

Here we are at Matilda’s Cocktail Lounge on yet another freezing winter night in downtown Peoria. Let’s get inside and warm up!
It’s nice and warm in here and there’s seats at the bar.
Let’s go grab a stool and get settled in for the evening!
There’s the owner of Matilda’s, Whitney serving me up a Mango Tango cocktail and it was delicious!
Whitney opened up Matilda’s over a year ago and it’s such a cool throwback cocktail lounge that transports you back to the ‘70’s in looks and spirit.
It’s a well stocked bar and while it’s a cocktail lounge, it’s also got a nice selection of beers as you can see from the top ledge of the back display counter.
Caspar and Austin were enjoying drinks and a card game at the bar. Cheers!
A lot of the art on the walls in here was painted by Whitney’s grandma, including this painting of Whitney as a young girl! Very cool!
The lounge gives you a feeling of walking into a ‘70’s basement as a party is just about to begin.
And there’s another room in the back over here…
This is another cool room with a distinctive ‘70’s feel to it via art, furniture and vibes.
There’s a couple enjoying the room over there, let’s go and say hi to them!
Dave and Mariel were relaxing and chatting in two comfy corner chairs over here.
Mariel just moved back here from Denver, Colorado and they both said they enjoy the relaxing and fun vibes here at Matilda’s. Great to chat and visit with both of them.
Meanwhile, back at the bar, Whitney has mixed me up another one of their signature cocktails…
This is a Caramel Apple Mule and it was absolutely delicious!
Then she turned the disco ball on and we partied like it was 1979!
