Okay, tomorrow we’re going back to daily posts here on MBIP, but the posts are going to be a little different.
Exactly fifteen years ago, on this day, January 11, 2010, I launched my second blog, A Guy Walks Into 365 Bars when I was living in New York City. It turned into quite an adventure and it got international attention, click here for a listing of links to online articles and videos about the blog.
Through the years people have asked me to do a follow up to this blog here in the midwest and since this is the 15th anniversary, I thought it would be fun to do this again!
But this time, I’m changing the rules a little bit! This time I can miss a day here or there and I won’t have to start the countdown all over again. And speaking of taking days off, in the summer, probably in June, we’ll be taking about seven days off so I can go to New York and visit four of my favorite bars from the original bar crawl blog!
Also I can go to more than one bar in a day and use those for two separate posts. I will spend at least an hour at every bar I visit to get a true feel for it and I have to have at least two drinks, but they don’t have to be alcohol drinks. I have to be a little more careful on this one as I’ll be driving a car instead of taking subways! The official rules are listed here.

I wanted to do this on the MBIP blog, but to keep these posts in their own online world, so every post will have this banner on top of it.
