Live, from Peoria, Illinois, it’s Saturday Night with this week’s host, Untamed Chef and featuring special guest star, Nancie!
Now, please welcome this week’s host, Untamed Chef!
Here we are at Untamed Chef in the Windsor Square near Pioneer Park on University Street.
They are open, so let’s go inside and start this Saturday night out on the town!
Normally, I’d sit at their nice and spacious bar, but we have a special guest tonight and I think I see her sitting over at that table over in the corner of the dining room…
There she is, it’s my friend Nancie and she’s looking fantastic tonight! Great to have her along for this evening’s Saturday night meal!
We checked out the menu and our waitress came and took our order but didn’t want to be photographed by the MBIP Camera. She said she’d try to get someone else to pose for a photo, but no one ever appeared. Oh well, what are you going to do?
I wandered into the other dining area and it was jam-packed with a birthday party in there! It was a private party, so I just took a couple shots and captured the kitchen area where they were busy preparing tonight’s dinners.
Here’s another shot of the dining room in our area and they have a row of gaming machines lining the walls if you’re feeling lucky.
There’s a shot from the end of the bar and the beers on tap in here.
Suddenly…cupcakes! Wow, those look delicious!
Meanwhile, back at our table…
Our dinner is starting to arrive, we started off with an appetizer order of the stuffed mushrooms and these were unbelievably tasty!
They are portobello mushrooms stuffed with cream cheese, smoked pulled pork, mozarella cheese and topped with a mushroom demi-glace.
Nancie and I both agreed that these were the best stuffed mushrooms in the world! They were simply heavenly!
Here’s our main courses, Nancie got the Cuban Sandwich which is served with homemade chips and pickles and I got the Chicken Alfredo which comes with two pieces of garlic bread.
Everything looks fabulous!
Nancie said her Cuban Sandwicha and chips were very tasty and delicious!
Usually I don’t eat gralic bread as garlic gives me heartburn, but I took a chance and sampled these tasty slices and they weren’t loaded with garlic but were very tasty and buttery. I suffered no heartburn later!
The Chicken Alfredo was such a creamy delight!
The delicious chicken is tossed with fettuccine pasta and served in an alfredo sauce along with fresh mushrooms and it was such a tasty and savory dish!
We were so full after dinner we didn’t even have room for one of those fabulous looking cupcakes, maybe next time!
Thanks to everyone at Untamed Chef for the fabulous service and food and thanks to Nancie for joining me for dinner and being this week’s Saturday night guest star!
