Okay, time for our monthly road trip with…
Whoops, who’s that at the door…Herman Munster?
I know we had Eddie Munster on the other day, but we can’t continue to have the whole cast on here, besides, we’re waiting for someone else. I guess all I can say here is: Munster Go Home!
Okay, let’s try this one more time…and here he is, the MBIP Pal and Wheelman, our very own, King of the Road, Scott Turley!
Always love his t-shirts and if this one goes over your head, just click here.
And we’re off!
There’s Scott behind the wheel steering us to this month’s destination and yes, it’s a little rainy out. But that’s not dampening our spirits…onwards and upwards we go!
Signpost ahead…
We’re here at this month’s Scott Turley Road Trip pick, the Stringtown BBQ restaurant and tavern!
Wow, this place is huge.
As usual, Scott leads the way in!
There’s a nice dining area in here, but we’re going to dine at the bar. It’s just the way we do things on the MBIP Scott Turley Road Trip!
We checked out the menu and…
Placed our order with the friendly bartender of the day, Margie.
There she is placing the order and now I’ll take some photos while our order is being prepared.
There’s a shot from the end of the bar, another one of the lit-up bottles on display behind it and there’s the quartet of taps on display. Ta-da!
There’s some welcome art along with drawings on the front counter and an abstract bicycle sculpture on display. Nice!
Gaming machines are discreetly placed in the corner over there and there’s a stage for live music in here.
Down this hallway is yet another dining room and outside there’s a nice patio area with more seating at these large picnic tables.
Meanwhile, back at the bar…
Dinner is served!
Scott got the Brisket Sandwich and Fries and I got the Flash-Fried Chicken with Fries and Cole Slaw. Everything looks fresh and fabulous!
There’s the patent-pending Scott Turley first bite photo! He devoured half of that sandwich in the first bite! Amazing!
I added some of their house-made barbecue sauce to my fried chicken dinner meal and the fries and cole slaw were very tasty!
The fried chicken was quite a treat! It’s flash-friend and if you don’t know about flash frying, here’s an article about it.
The outside skin was crisp and tasty and inside the chicken was succulent and delicious! This is a signature dish here and it’s some of the best chicken I’ve ever had!
Thanks to everyone at Stringtown BBQ for the hospitality and wonderful food and drinks! And thanks to the King of the Road, Scott Turley for driving and being the monthly host of the Scott Turley Road Trip!
