Hard to believe, but it’s that time of the month…time for another Scott Turley Road Trip!
Today we’re heading off to Lil Beaver…hey…what’s that knock at the door, let’s see who’s there.
Beaver Cleaver…no, wrong Lil Beaver, go find Whitey or Lumpy or one of your other politically incorrectly named friends to play with, we’re waiting for someone else!
Okay, this more like it, it’s Scott Turley, MBIP Pal and Wheelman at the door and ready to drive us to this month’s destination!
And this month’s destination is the Lil Beaver Brewery in Bloomington, Illinois.
If you don’t know about this place, it’s one of Bloomington’s most happening spots ever!
It’s a Brewpub that opened up in 2018 and has grown into one of the areas hotspots to go to. And we’re meeting a few guest stars there as well, so I’m excited about today’s road trip!
Away we go!
And here we are at the Lil Beaver Brewery!
As you can see, the place is huge with a giant beer patio.
There’s Scott leading the way inside!
Wow, it’s super-nice in here. Check out the bar and the comfortable dining area directly opposite.
I love all the wooden beer barrels in here and there’s a discreet gaming area off to the side.
There’s an upstairs area with tables and seating and it’s fun to look down at the main dining room from up here.
Check out the group waving hi to me! Nice!
I made my outside to the giganzo beer patio! They call it the “Dam Patio.” Ha ha ha!
What a summer oasis!
Hey, I think I see some familiar faces over there…
Scott has settled in to a table and there’s the first two special guest stars, my friends, Tim and Kay!
Those of you who follow the blog may remember Tim and Kay from our last Saturday night outing at Johah’s Seafood House & Oyster Bar. Always great to see them and they introduced us to…
Adam and Kaitlin who own Lil Beaver along with Adam’s twin brother, Justin and his wife, Cassie.
Kaitlin is Tim and Kay’s daughter which makes Adam their son-in-law. Yes, this place is a real family affair!
They opened in 2018 and have expanded the place since then adding a full kitchen and this massive beer patio. It’s quite impressive here and you should definitely check it out!
It’s a perfect summer destination!
Adam invited me inside for a behind the scenes tour of the brewery area.
This is really cool and as you can see it’s quite an impressive brewery back here.
I love the Ss marking, it reminded me of the beginning of Breaking Bad!
They not only brew their own draft beer, they also make a line of canned beers that you can drink at the bar or get to go.
I think this might be the only local brewery to manufacture their own canned line of beer. Very cool!
And check out the stylish Lil Beaver beer koozies they have, nice!
They’ve got a full kitchen here, the food is insanely good and it’s all cooked fresh here at the brewpub!
Smash burgers, tacos, nachos, appetizers, sandwiches, fresh pizza, tacos and more.
Check out their extensive menu and if you’re not a beer person, they have a full bar along with a line of cool Slushy Gourmet Ice Drinks!
What a fun road trip! Thanks to Tim and Kay for the invitation and to Kaitlin and Adam for the fun afternoon and the wonderful backstage tour!
And of course, thanks to Scott Turley for driving us to this month’s road trip destination!
