I’ve driven by Moon Dancer Boutique so many times and I always think to myself, “I have to stop in there and take some photos for a blog.”
Well today is finally that day!
I’ve known the owner, Julie Vonachen since we were both teenagers but I haven’t seen her in decades, so it’ll be fun to see her again and take a tour of Moon Dancer Boutique.
Hang on to your socks because it’s off we go!
Okay, here we are at Moon Dancer, let’s go in…I don’t know why, but I have a feeling it’s going to be awesome in there!
Wow, it’s a so much bigger than I thought it would be in here! And look at the wide array of unique, eclectic and interesting items for sale.
It boggles the mind and mind is already kind of boggled all the time, so I’m thrown for a loop over here! Sufferin’ succotash!
There’s the owner, Julie Vonachen on the right and to the left of her is the Moon Dancer crew: Kaitlin and Ryan.
It was so fun to see and visit with Julie after all these years and to meet Kaitlin and Ryan.
We had a lively conversation and I learned that Ryan is a musician and he plays around town, so keep your eyes open for him onstage! Till then, check out his YouTube channel!
Julie introduced me to Connie, who’s an artist and she painted the Moon Dancer banner on the wall. Very cool!
As the four of us were chatting, I realized that this place didn’t feel like a retail store, I asked Julie how she would describe this place and the vibe in here. Julie had the genius idea to ask people on the Moon Dancer facecrack page to describe their experiences in here and she got all kinds of interesting comments from people who love and shop at Moon Dancer.
I thought I’d use some of them for captions beneath the photos I took below.
Okay Moon Dancer Community, let’s hear what you have to say!
It’s a magical place where peace and harmony are truly felt by everyone who walks in the door. Plus an extremely fun place to shop for unique gifts for family and friends, but also can’t leave without buying yourself something. — Betty Joe Winkler Lee
A peaceful vibe. A kind of Zen feeling. I haven't been in for a while, but I need that peaceful vibe & Zen feeling very soon. — Sheila M TA
Moon Dancer is an experience that fills your 5 senses with love and a sense of self with protection from a higher power. — Matthew Schuster
It's an entity all of its own. There are no words that I can put on this place.
It's like a magical spell when you walk in...everything bad goes away, you have a sense of calm and peace, your acceptance into the Tribe known as Moon Dancers is unconditional, you feel the love.
Once you are a Moon Dancer, you're in it for life...it sticks with you for life. — Marie Blackburn
It's an experience, you never know what you'll find or you will find what you need ~ Magical sums it up ~ — Denise Snyder
Moon Dancer is community! — Linda Ann Sever
It’s a connection, vibe, movement…we care for others, help others, accept others.
People are drawn to Moon Dancer for a reason. We connect them to whatever it is they need. Our customers have helped us raise money to house people, pay power bills, fund funerals, buy groceries, clothes for families, take care of sick pets, purchase tires, years of Christmas gifts for families in need…it goes on and on…we have done it all from the goodness of the hearts of the people who come to Moon Dancer.
Sure it’s a store, we have a bottom line to meet like every business does, however I do believe we have a divine energy holding things together so the platform to heal, help and guide others remains. A movement to Love. — Julie Vonachen, owner of Moon Dancer.
