I thought we’d head over to Pottstown Meat and Deli to pick up supplies for this week’s Please Grill Me post, so it’s off we go!
And here we are at Pottstown Meat and Deli, I love the “Natural Born Grillers” window, perfect for this post!
Let’s go in and get this week’s grilling supplies!
As you can see, they have more than meat in here.
There’s a huge wine selection and they also have beer, a dairy section and check out all of the marinated chicken breasts in this display case over here!
I think we’ll go with a Cajun chicken breast for the main item this week.
We’re back at the MBIP World Headquarters, Mach IV with the ingredients for this week’s grilled meal.
Clockwise from left: Yellow Cheddar Cheese With Tomato Basil, Hearth Kaiser Rolls, Kitchen Cooked Louisiana Style Potato Chips and the Marinated Cajun Chicken Breast.
Okay, it’s that time of day…let’s cook!
We’ll pre-heat the grill to 250 degrees, we’ll cook this low and slow today!
The chicken breast is marinated with Cajun seasonings, but I want to add a bunch more so here we go!
I added black pepper, hot sauce, honey, ground mustard, brown sugar bourbon, Korean chili sauce and Sweet Heat barbecue sauce.
I then poked holes in the chicken breast to let the seasonings cook inside and covered it up in foil.
Then I placed it on the pre-heated grill to start cooking.
I buttered and toasted the Hearth Kaiser Rolls and then added a ton of the Cheddar Tomato Basil Cheese on top of them and put them under the broiler.
Then it was out to the grill to take the chicken breast out and let it char on the grill for a few minutes.
Back inside and the Hearth Kaiser Rolls are drowning in melted cheese!
I added the grilled chicken breast chunks and applied a healthy dose of Inglehoffer Sweet Hot Mustard to the open-faced sandwich.
Here’s the open-faced grilled chicken and cheese sandwich, let’s dig in!
Wow, this is so delicious!
The chicken is juicy and filled with so much flavor from all the seasoning and Cajun marinade! The bun is buttery, toasty and overloaded with cheese adding a creamy richness to the sweet and savory seasonings.
What a tasty delight!
