For this week’s luncheon outing I decided to go to Ardor Breads And Provisions on Water Street.
We’re joining a special luncheon guest star and you can meet him by scrolling on down this post! Let’s go and do lunch!
Here we are at Ardor Breads And Provisions on Water Street. I love their signage and let’s travel up the long and winding staircase to the inside of this local bakery and diner.
As I walked in and took a shot of the front counter, someone sitting in the front corner called my name. I took a shot of this mystery couple that the sunshine silhouetted in the photo.
Who in the world is this mystery couple?
Scroll down to find out…
It’s none other than the Sean Kenny with his girlfriend, Hayley Brienen, looking fabulous!
Sean is the owner of Kenny’s Westside Pub and he recently purchased and remodeled The Friendly Valley Tavern. The Friendly Valley Tavern is now featuring live music and group volleyball games. Kenny’s is being remodeled and will have a grand re-opening soon. Stay tuned for details and photos of that.
Great to see both of them.
And at the table next to them is this week’s special luncheon guest star…
Terry Towery!
Many of you know Terry from when he was a writer for the PJ Star and he also was a sports writer for the A.P. And Terry is also a fiction writer.
His first book is finished and he’s negotiating a release date for that right now and he’s working on his second novel. You can follow him on facecrack and Twitter to be alerted on updates on both upcoming books.
It was great to see Terry and catch up on things.
Stay tuned for details on both of his upcoming novels right here, but now it’s time for lunch!
We checked out the menu and went up to the counter and placed our order with Domenic.
The bread in here is baked fresh daily and it looks fresh and delightful!
There’s also fresh-baked pastries that look sweet and scrumptious!
Here’s a shot from the back of the restaurant and check out the industrial oven back here!
Very impressive!
Meanwhile, back at our table…
Lunch is served!
Terry got a slice of their cheese sourdough slab which is Roman-styled thick crust pizza. It looks wonderful!
Here’s Terry enjoying the freshly-baked pizza, he said it was incredible!
I got the Steak & Egg sandwich and it was such an original and tasty sandwich creation!
It’s got thin slices of seared steak, a fried egg, caramelized onions, melted Gouda cheese, avocado spread, greens and mustard seeds on a freshly baked brioche bun.
This is one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had!
The steak was tender, savory and tasty and blended so well with the fried egg and the other flavors in the sandwich. The bun was buttery and bakery fresh and this was like a buffet of exotic flavors in a bun!
What an exquisite treat!
Domenic said they’re fixing up this room to expand to a full dining area that will be open for dinner soon! Stay tuned for details on that as it happens!
Thanks to Terry for being this week’s special luncheon guest star and we’ll see you all tomorrow!
