Jack’s On Adams recently opened up in downtown Peoria and last month we went and sampled their delicious pizza pie, which is a specialty of the house there.
Well, I found out that they’ve just added a foot long hot dog to their menu, so that means we need to take a trip back to Jack’s On Adams and check it out for our weekly Dog Days Of Summer edition.
It’s off to Jack’s we go!
And through the magic of these here interwebs—baboom—here we are at Jack’s On Adams.
Let’s go inside and see what’s happening on this fine afternoon!
It’s looking nice in here and I love the shiny bar!
There’s Megan and Joe who are working behind the bar and serving up lunch in here. Great to see both of them again!
There’s Jack himself and moments later, his dad Paul showed up.
It’s time to sit down and order up some lunch at Jack’s On Adams!
The Jumbo Dog is a brand new addition to Jack’s On Adams, so it’s not on the menu yet, but it’s available every day for lunch or dinner and Jack suggested we try the Max’d Out version of the Jumbo Dog which is topped with Cole Slaw and onions.
That sounds delicious and I can’t wait to try it out!
Here’s a shot from the back of the bar, there’s the stage where live music happens on weekends in here and they’re setting up a game room over here with three state of the art dart boards. Nice!
These signs were taken off the walls at Sully’s and it’s a nice remembrance of that legendary downtown tavern!
This corner is a tribute to the former owner of this place when it was the Adams Street Cafe and Catering. That’s a photo of former owner, Joe Slyman and he looks like a star from That ‘70s Show!
I love it!
There’s the back of the bar and as you can see, they have a nice selection of beer in here!
Here’s Jack serving up the Jumbo Dog’s to myself and Paul!
You can get them with cheese, plain or Max’d Out, which is what we ordered. This version has creamy Cole Slaw and onions on top of the foot long hot dog!
I just need to add one other condiment to top off this fantastic looking hot dog!
And that’s a healthy dollop of yellow mustard.
Wow, this looks like one fabulous hot dog, let’s dig in!
The beefy hot dog has to be cut in half to eat it and it’s an unbelievably tasty hot dog!
It’s an all beef dog and the Cole Slaw and onions add a cool richness and crispiness to the dog.
The bun is bakery fresh and this is one of the best hot dogs in Peoria!
You need to stop by Jack’s On Adams and try one out today for lunch or dinner!
There’s Paul and Jack enjoying the Jumbo Dog and fries! Jack got his topped with shredded cheese and mustard.
After lunch, Jack and Paul were setting the place up for a birthday party.
