Goodfellas is one of my all-time favorite films. It was released in the fall of 1990 to rave reviews and has been lauded as the best movie about the mob/mafia ever. It’s based on the book, Wiseguy by Nicholas Pileggi and he co-wrote the screenplay with the director, Martin Scorsese.
The film is presented in a narrative style with Ray Liotta’s character, Henry Hill and his wife Karen supplying the narration. Lorraine Bracco played the part of Karen Hill and she would later move on to another well-known mobster vehicle, the TV show, The Sopranos.
Below are six links to online articles about Goodfellas, including a link from my 365 bars blog where I got to meet the real-life Henry Hill in New York City!
Below that are the MBIP Coming Attractions for next week’s posts!
