Live from Peoria, Illinois, it’s Saturday Night starring this week’s host, Craft 309 Kitchen + Bar with special guest stars, Amber and Joe! Plus Special appearances from, Caitlin, Jailynn, Tiana, Ashley and the Dee Peterson family.
Now please welcome, from beautiful downtown Peoria, Craft 309 Kitchen + Bar!
Here we are at Craft 309 Kitchen + Bar which is located in the Four Points By Sheraton Peoria Hotel. That’s handy because if you drink too much, just check in, get a room and sleep it off! Okay, let’s go inside.
Inside the foyer there’s a sign with the weekly specials that can be had here.
Caitlin was working the host station and I thought she looked familiar and it turned out that she waited on me at Jim’s Steakhouse back in 2014 for this luncheon blog!
She’s looking just as pretty and I cant believe that was over eight years ago! As I always say, fun flies when you’re having time! Great to see Caitlin again!
As I walked in past the bar, I saw two other familiar faces in a booth opposite the bar…
It’s my friends, Amber and Joe, looking fabulous as always!
They had a Easter drawing contest in here and we decided to take part of it. In fact we were the only three people that were participating in it.
It was very eggciting!
Our pretty and friendly waitress for the evening was Jailynn. Here she is delivering me a bottle of Budweiser with a gorgeous smile.
She took our order and I completed my Easter crayon drawing.
I decided on an abstract style with a note on the bottom that if I didn’t win, they’d get a shitty review!
Amber and Joe continued to work on their art pieces as I got up to take a few photos of Craft 309 Kitchen + Bar.
There’s another shot of the bar and check out all of the beers available on tap! They even have Tito’s Handmade Vodka on tap at the end of the line on the left. Very cool!
There’s also communal tables in the middle of the bar area, but if you don’t want to sit and dine in the bar…
There’s a spacious dining area right next door with comfortable tables and booths lining the walls.
This is the Dee Peterson family who saw me taking pictures and invited me to take one of them at their dining table.
It was great to meet them and you can follow Dee on Instagram by clicking here.
Here’s the pretty crew on duty for the evening, from left: Caitlin, Tiana, Jailynn and Ashley.
They were all very friendly and we had a lot of fun talking and joking around with them through the evening.
Meanwhile, back at our booth in the bar area…
Chicken wings were being served up!
We got these as an appetizer order and they look wonderful!
These are the Whiskey Maple Buffalo Wings and they were nothing short of amazing!
They were plump, juicy and so tasty. The Maple Buffalo sauce was a perfect blend of sweet and heat and so very tasty!
What a great start to a fantastic dinner!
Amber and Joe split an order of the Cast Iron Buffalo Fries. These are fries topped with cheese, whiskey buffalo sauce, chives, celery and a blue cheese crema topping.
They said that this dish was very tasty and they enjoyed it.
I got the Brisket Biscuit entree and it looks amazing! Let’s dig in!
The entree comes with fries that are fresh cut in-house and are very tasty.
The main dish consists of fresh, homemade biscuits on the bottom topped off with slow-cooked brisket of beef with a house-made Guava BBQ sauce and then topped off with deep-fried onion slices.
The biscuits were fresh and flaky and they served as a tasty bed for the tender and tasty beef brisket which was served with the sweet and savory Guava BBQ sauce!
This was a flavorful taste treat and you need to check it out!
They hung up our Easter art and there’s Amber’s labeled, “Happy Easter Bunny.”
Joe’s is next which he titled, “Eggstravaganza” and finally there’s mine which I titled “Easter On Acid.”
Amber won first prize and Joe came in a close second and I didn’t win anything, but in spite of that I will still give the Craft 309 Kitchen + Bar a rave review!
We had a wonderful meal and evening there and will be returning soon!
Jailynn brought us a couple after-dinner drinks to close out the evening.
I had The Peorian and Joe sampled The Bardstown Jam. Sweet drinks to end a sweet evening!
Thanks to all at Craft 309 for a wonderful evening and thanks to Amber and Joe for meeting me there and being fun dinner companions for this fabulous Saturday night on the town in downtown Peoria!
