The MBIP Frozen Food Review - This Week: A Three-Course Frozen Food Review

by MBIP

I was at Walgreen’s getting a prescription filled and stopped by the frozen food section. I was going to go to the grocery store for this week’s frozen food meal, but I happened to see three interesting frozen food items that would make for an interesting and hopefully tasty three-course frozen food dinner at Walgreen’s.

So despite a dinner going woefully wrong from Walgreen’s in the past, let’s see how this three-course frozen food dinner turns out!

——

Walgreen’s Frozen Food Aisle

Here’s the frozen food aisle at Walgrreen’s.

And here’s…

What I chose for this week’s three-course frozen food meal.

Clockwise from the left, there’s: T.G.I. Fridays Potato Skins, a Haagen Dazs chocolate bar and the main course is going to be a Devour Buffalo Chicken Mac & Cheese Bowl.

Okay, time to begin this trifecta frozen food feast!

——

First Course

For the first course I chose this snack/appetizer T.G.I. Fridays Potato Skins entree.

They have to cook in a pre-heated 450 degrees oven for 12 minutes.

While they’re cooking, check out my fancy napkins. I retired the festive holiday ones and chose these to give this dinner a nice summer vibe in spite of the fact that we’re in the middle of winter.

So there.

Okay, we’ve stil got about ten minutes till they’re done, so here’s Gordon Ramsay making a pork dish in under ten minutes. Enjoy!

Alright, here’s the potato skins fresh out of the oven and onto a fancy striped paper plate.

Note the fancy BBQ napkin to the left of the dish. There’s all kinds of fancy happening here today!

I sesaoned the skins with some Texas Pete Hot Sauce and a few shakes of black pepper.

The potato skins were pretty bland and somewhat disappointing.

You’d think that a potato skin loaded with cheddar cheese and bacon would have a little zing and some sharp taste to them, but no, these were pretty tasteless and kind of just gut-plugging food.

Let’s move along to the next course here.

Second Course

Here’s the main course of the dinner: A Devour Buffalo Chicken Mac & Cheese Bowl..

Okay, this looks and smells sinply amazing!

I added some Texas Pete Hot Sauce and some black pepper to the dish and now it’s time to try it out!

This frozen food entree was simply delicious!

The cheese sauce was super-rich and tasty and mixed well with the pasta shells.

There was also big chunks of Buffalo breaded chicken and this was a really comforting and satisfying frozen food dinner!

——

Third Course

The third course is a Haggen Dazs Milk Chocolate Almond Ice Cream Bar and it looks like a fabulous dessert treat!

This was a sweet and delicious ending to the meal and when all was said and done, you also got a tongue depresser if you’re into that sort of thing.

Yay!

Ratings

——

First Course

One and a half Ice Cubes. The T.G.I.Fridays Potato Skins were pretty bland and nothing to be excited about. I won’t be buying them again.

——

Second Course

The Devour Buffalo Chicken Mac & Cheese Bowl was a tasty treat. It was rich and spicy and very satisfying.

I’ll give this dish three and a half Ice Cubes and a high recommendation!

——

Third Course

The Haagen Dazs Chocolate Almond Ice Cream Bar was a sweet treat and a very happy ending to this three course frozen food meal. I’ll give it three and a half Ice Cubes.
