A couple of weeks ago I took some Joan Jett posters and art to Technicraft and talked to them about framing them and making some door art for a Joan Jett Hall of Fame here at the new MBIP World Headquarters, you can see that post by clicking here.
I’m happy to report that the Joan Jett items are framed, matted and the door art is output and it’s all ready to be installed here at MBIP World Headquarters!
Whoops-a-doozy is somewhat in fact knocking on the door? Let’s go see who’s here…
It’s the trusted installers from Technicraft, from left it’s Nate and Tom Whalen, who owns Technicraft along with his wife Karen.
Great to see both of them and now it’s time to install the Joan Jett Hall of Fame in MBIP World Headquarters. This is so exciting!
Tom and Nate quickly went into action and these guys are pros at this. They were moving at a pace I could hardly take photos of!
I need a speed-action lens over here!
The two of them moved like synchronized swimmers putting the framed photos up in the hallway and making sure they were all perfectly straightend and aligned.
It was amazing to watch! It was almost like a two-man ballet!
I couldn’t believe how quickly this was all coming together. And it was looking better than I ever could have ever imagined.
I let Tom and everyone at Technicraft pick out the frames for the posters and album covers and they did a fantastic job of creating this art and it looks absolutely fabulous!
We had door-wrap art made and this is from a drawing and design done by Chelsie Tamms from Lettering Works.
As always, Chelsie delivered a fantastic piece of art of Joan Jett playing guitar.
This is being installed on the bedroom door which is at the end of the hallway. This original art is the cherry on top of this Joan Jett Hall of Fame!
It truly makes it an original art installation here at MBIP World Headquarters!
Ladies and gentlemen, may I present for your viewing pleasure…The Joan Jett Hall of Fame!
It’s so narrow in there, it’s impossible to capture it with a photo, so I thought I’d recreate it somewhat in Photoshop.
The left hand wall is framed 24 x 36 posters of Joan Jett. The frames that Technicraft chose were perfect and they look so cool lined up on the wall!
There’s a vintage framed Runaways poster on the opposite wall along with four Joan Jett album covers.
Karen Whalen had the idea to feature the vinyl album within the frame and that’s a highlight here in the Joan Jett Hall of Fame.
This is the beauty of working with Technicraft, they take your idea and hit it out of the ballpark with their original and artful ideas!
We had four photos that I framed and Tom and Nate hung them in the strip next to the bedroom door.
Here’s the artwork drawn and designed by Chelsie. This turned out perfect and it really makes this Joan Jett Hall of Fame a unique piece of hallway art!
Chelsie always goes above and beyond and this turned out so cool! This original artwork makes this hall a true, one-of-a-kind presentation!
Thanks so much to Technicraft and Lettering Works for working with me and being the creative engines behind the Joan Jett Hall of Fame!
