A lot of people have suggested I try the pizza at Weaver’s Fresh Food & Drink. I got take-out from their over a year ago when everything was shut down and it was a delicious meal.
Now that we can dine-in again, let’s go try this pizza that everyone is talking about!
Plus, keep on scrolling to find out this week’s mystery guest!
Here we are at Weaver’s, just off of Willow Knoll’s Road. As you can see they have a nice outdoor patio area, but we’re going to eat indoors.
Check out the obligatory mirror shot of myself and the mystery guest in the front door to Weaver’s!
Welcome to Weaver’s and we’re waiting to be seated.
Here’s the cute Hostess for Weaver’s, Patience.
I told her I had never met someone with the name Patience and she said her mom named her that to remember to be patient with her younger brother and also after the Guns & Roses song.
Patience took us to our table and there’s the aforementioned mystery guest…who is this person?
It’s none other than our friend, Bob Gordon, owner of Acme Comics. Great to see him again and glad he could join us for this week’s pizza dinner!
And before you know it, our appetizer has arrived with these two pretty waitresses delivering it! That’s Brooke on the left and J.C. on the right with the start of our pizza dinner.
We got an order of the Mozzarella Sticks for our pre-pizza appetizer. They were crispy on the outside and cheesy, rich and tasty in the middle.
A nice start to this week’s pizza dinner. Now let’s take a look around in here.
Comfortable booths line the perimeter of the dining room in here.
There’s a nice bar in the front of the room and there’s a list of some of the beers available here.
They have over a dozen beers on tap and a huge selection of canned and bottled beers to choose from here.
Here’s a fun arcade room off to the side of the restaurant.
Meanwhile, back at our table…
It’s pizza pie time!
Wow, this pizza looks fantastic!
The crust is thin and crispy and it’s cooked well-done, just the way I like it. We’ll let these slices cool down a little bit before taking a bite.
Here’s Bob taking a bite, he loved the pizza and gave it a guest rating of 9.6.
I loved this pizza!
The crust was cracker thin and was cooked well-done, just the way I like it. The dough for the pizza is made at Trefzger’s Bakery and it’s fresh and delicious. The cheese was rich and flavorful and the sauce was zippy and tangy.
This is one of the best pizzas we’ve had on the tour so far!

The Rating System
Any rating from 0 to 5.9 is a substandard pizza that you should definitely avoid.
A rating from 6 to 8.5 is a good pizza and gets the MBIP pizza pie recommendation.
A rating from 8.6 to 9.4 means the pizza is very high quality and you need to try it out as soon as you can.
Ratings from 9.5 to 10 represent the best pizzas in Peoria (in my opinion).
