Last week was the 52nd anniversary of Woodstock, the three day music festival that happened on August 15, 16 and 17 in 1969. This was an historic festival and a moment in our culture when it seemed like peace and love was something that just might happen. Well, it didn’t, but it’s nice to go back to a time when we had innocent visions of the future and I had never heard of the word, “pandemic.”
Below are six links to online articles and a quick PSA video about the Woodstock Festival.
And then below that are the coming attractions to yet another week here at MBIP!

“I can dig it” Most comprehensive article(s) ever re: Pete Townshend vs Abbie Hoffman at Woodstock? - This is a compilation of different articles and audio videos of when Abbie Hoffman made the mistake of trying to take the stage when The Who were playing at Woodstock. Pete Townshend El Kabonged him with his guitar and threatened to kill anyone else who dared to step on stage with them. So much for peace, love and understanding!
Woodstock 1969 Headliners: Where Are They Now? - Many are dead, but The Who are still touring with just Pete Townshend and Roger Daltry remaining from the original line-up. Abbie Hoffman killed himself back in 1989, so he won’t be bothering them anymore!
