Live, from Peoria, Illinois, it’s Saturday Night starring this week’s host, The Broadway Deli & Lounge with special guests, Phenomenal Phil Raso and Hypnohumorist Terry Grawey.
Now, please welcome this week’s host all the way from beautiful downtown Peoria, The Broadway Deli & Lounge!
Here we are at the Broadway Deli & Lounge which is located at the far end of the MAXAM Building on Washington Street in downtown Peoria.
Of course there’s a red carpet when you enter here and a sign to let you know that you are definitely on Broadway when you enter here.
Phenomenal Phil’s wife, Frandy was working the door and she’s looking…phenomenal…it must run in the family!
There’s a long wooden bar in here and I see another familiar face behind it. It’s Toby, who’s the restaurant manager here at The Broadway Deli & Lounge.
As you can see they have a fully stocked bar and here’s a selection of some of the craft beers you can get in here.
There’s also a discreet gaming room off to the side for all of you gamblers out there!
The show was sold out and as I wandered around I ran into Lynn and Jim. I hadn’t seen Lynn in years and it was great to catch up with her and meet Jim.
Then I stumbled in to the stars of the show, Hypnohumorist Terry Grawey and Phenomenal Phil Raso!
To the right of them is Terry Blome, who’s also a hypnotist and came all the way from Springfield for tonight’s show.
I had a table upstairs and I shared it with Jay and Becky. It was great to meet both of them and we had a nice conversation before the dinner and show.
They have a great selection of deli sandwiches, salads and bread bowls here.
Michelle was our lovely and friendly waitress and she took my dinner order.
Here’s the view from my seat. This place really does feel like you’re going to watch a show on Broadway!
I got the Caesar Salad and the Chicken Noodle Bread Bowl and it was a delicious and tasty dinner.
The Broadway Deli & Lounge is open Tuesday through Saturday for lunch and dinner and you should stop by and try their delicious food and drinks.

Phenomenal Phil Raso
It’s showtime here at The Broadway Deli & Lounge.
Phenomenal Phil opened up the show and from the very start he was amazing the audience with his mind-reading and magic mentalist talents.
Phenomenal Phil puts on an amazing show and it’s really captivating the way he pulls off the magic and mental feats in his act.
If you’ve ever seen the Amazing Kreskin, it’s similar to that, but it’s even more Phenomenal!

Hypnohumorist Terry Grawey
Hypnohumorist Terry Grawey took the stage and he got a standing ovation!
He quickly assembled a group of people that wanted to be hypnotized and in no time he had them all put to sleep and then had them doing all sorts of hilarious antics like driving a race car to get ice cream, imitating a voodoo doll and dancing to the Village People’s classic YMCA song.
This was so much fun and the audience loved it!
To close the act, they all got t-shirts that said, “I’ve Been Hypnotized.”
This was such a fun and uniquely entertaining evening!
Thanks to Phenomenal Phil Raso and Hypnohumorist Terry Grawey for a wonderful show and kudos to The Broadway Deli & Lounge for hosting it.
The Broadway Deli & Lounge has fun shows every weekend and there’s open mic nights and other fun events during the week. And they have delicious food for lunch and dinner, even if you’re not attending a show. Stop by and show support for this fun, local taste of Broadway in Peoria!
We’re doing a Marty Monologues show at the Broadway Deli & Lounge on Saturday, August 28th and you can read all the details about that show by clicking here: The Marty Monologues.
