On to the next two canned items on our Chef Boyardee list, it includes a classic flavor and a new one that I’ve never tried.
This week we’re sampling the classic Chef Boyardee canned entree, Beefaroni along with one that wasn’t available in my youth, Chicken Ravioli.
Here’s this two week’s cans, Beefaroni and Chicken Ravioli housed in the MBIP World Kitchen and Tasting Area cupboards. Nice to meet the both of you!
We’ll start off with the Beefaroni and the side spillage on the can has me a little bothered. Danger Will Robinson!
Plop into the pan it goes with a little pepper seasoning.
My friend Linda Wilson has suggested I use Parmesan Cheese in these posts, but I was in too much of a hurry to get the Parmesan Cheese yesterday. Maybe next week, stay tuned!
EXTREME CLOSE-UP! ALL IN CAPITAL LETTERS!
First Bite: Not all that bad, it had a little tomato taste to it. But it was kind of beef free, which is ironic when you’re name is BEEFaroni.
Onto the Chicken Ravioli. As I mentioned, this was a flavor that was not around when I was a kid and eating this stuff all the time.
You can see some of the raviolis floating at the top of the can. It’s kind of like they’re gasping for air and it’s a little disturbing.
Here they are heating up in the pan and being seasoned with some pepper.
Extereme close-up, this time with lower case letters involved.
We must keep mixing it up here on MBIP!
First Bite: This has a medicinal flavor kind of like the Chicken Alfredo did. It tastes like cough syrup encased in warm pasta and it’s not very pleasant or pleasing at all!
As you can see, the food in the can, doesn’t really live up to the label’s image.
Now on to the ratings.

MBiP Ratings (One To Four Chefs)
Beefaroni - Two Chefs, it wasn’t horrible, but it did have a noticeable lack of beef in it, considering the name is Beefaroni.
Chicken Ravioli - One Half Chef, I don’t know where they get their chickens from, but I think they’re fed on a steady diet of cough drops!

Hostess Dessert
For this week’s Hostess Dessert, I got the Cinnamon Streusel CoffeeCakes.
There they are unwrapped, let’s take a bite and see how they taste.
They’re really fresh and delicious! I have to say, I’ve been impressed with the Hostess Desserts that we’ve been enjoying on this series!
