The MBIP blog changed somewhat on March 16, 2020. That’s when the first Coronavirus case was reported here in Central Illinois and a day later they announced that the country was going into lockdown mode.
I wondered if I’d be able to keep doing the blog under these restricted conditions and decided I’d just try to keep moving along. And so that’s what I did. I started off by eating frozen pizzas at home instead of going out to restaurants and then I started getting take-out meals.
It was a long and wacky-ass year, but now I’m fully vaccinated and ready to start going out again and next week MBIP returns to a new normal here on the blog!
Here’s the schedule for next week and the weeks following in 2021.
This Saturday I’m going to actually go to a restaurant and dine-in for the first time since last August, when we celebrated Chuck and Diane’s 50th Wedding anniversary! Look for this up-coming Saturday night dine-in dinner blog next Monday.
Tuesday we’re starting a new MBIP food tour!
Wednesday’s will be either a Shopping Locally post or a Daytripper post.
On Thursdays, I’m going to start doing luncheon posts. I’m going to alternate between going out for lunch and continue reviewing frozen pizzas every other week.
On Friday I’ll continue doing menu challenges and we’ve just started eating every can on the Chef Boyardee menu.
Saturday’s we’ll take a trip back in time to a Saturday night dinner from the past.
Sunday’s we’ll continue with the Sunday Links and the MBIP Coming Attractions.
I want to thank all of you who continued to read this blog the last year and a half. It was a bit of a struggle, but hopefully better times are coming.
Writing and putting this blog together gave me something to do when things were bad and without an audience I wouldn’t be doing it, so if you’re reading this right now, just know that I thank you so much for being part of the MBIP Community and I truly appreciate you checking in every day!
Thanks to all of you and now let’s start moving forward in 2021!
