I heard that there’s a fairly new cafe/coffee shop that’s opened up in Junction City called, Cafe Santa Rosa.
It’s locally owned and I haven’t been there yet, so I thought we’d go there, check it out and maybe have some lunch while we visit this new location in Junction City.
So that’s exactly what we’re going to do today! How easy is this?
Here we are in Junction City and there’s our destination, Cafe Santa Rosa.
I love the owl that’s hanging under the sign!
Let’s go in and see what’s happening in here.
Wow, it’s very nice and welcoming inside of here!
I met Jazz and Angel up at the front counter and placed my luncheon order with them.
They wasted no time in getting my order prepared. There’s Jazz working on my tea…
And in the middle photo you can see Angel getting my sandwich prepared.
in addition to specialty coffee and tea, they also have delicious baked goods including Danish, Brownies, Apple Fritters and a nice variety of Cheesecakes.
They also have croissant sandwiches which is what I ordered.
Here’s a shot from the back of the shop and there’s seating along the front window if you want to watch the world of Junction City happening before your very eyes.
One cool thing they do in here is feature local artwork on their walls.
The current display is photography by Amy Messmore.
These are beautiful photos and there’s her artist’s statement about the display. Very cool!
I decided to sit at this table and here’s the view from where I’m perched.
And no sooner do I sit down, than Angel delivers my lunch. Perfect timing!
I got a glass of Chai Latte iced tea and a bacon, egg and cheese croissant sandwich.
Let’s dig in to this fabulous looking lunch!
The iced tea was delicious and had a wonderful flavor to it.
The croissant sandwich was so tasty and satisfying.
The bacon was smokey yet had a little sweetness to it and it complimented the egg, cheese and flakey croissant beautifully.
This was a wonderful and satisfying lunch!
As I was leaving I met Rafael, who’s family owns Cafe Santa Rosa.
He told me they opened last summer and while it’s been a bit of a challenge operating a cafe with this pandemic happening, he said people have been great and supportive of this new business in Junction City.
Stop by and show support for this new and locally owned Peoria business!
