Okay, this week we’re going to explore this whole grilled cheese and syrup idea even further.
Last week I got this comment on facecrack:
Kathy Jenkins Swanson suggested I try it with a breakfast sausage which I agreed to, but she never “liked” my comment.
I liked hers, but it’s no big deal. Even though I agreed to do what she asked…how fucking hard is it to “like” a stupid comment on facecrack?
Okay, let’s just let it go and start this week’s grilled cheese edition.
Fuck!
The ingredients for this week’s WB Grilled Cheese Sandwich are, clockwise from left: Tillamook Sharp Cheddar Cheese Shreds, Brown ‘N Serve Breakfast Sausage, Ritz Cheese Bits, M&M’s Ice Cream and Brown ‘N Serve Waffles.
Plus I’ll be using a couple of ingredients from the MBIP World Headquarters Pantry.
Okay…let’s cook!
First, we’ll take two of the Banquet Brown ‘N Serve Sausage Patties and warm them up in the microwave oven.
While those are cooking, we’ll enjoy an appetizer of tiny Ritz Bits crackers with some of the Sharp Cheddar Tillamook Cheese Shreds.
Oh so cheesy and delicious!
Okay, the breakfast sausage is all warmed up and I’ve crumbled it up for easy distribution on the sandwich.
There’s the waffles and it’s time to start making this week’s grilled cheese sandwich!
Oh and by the way, WB Grilled Sandwich stands for Waffle Breakfast Grilled Cheese. So there.
We’ll brown the waffles in this pan that we’ve melted some butter in.
And then it’s onto the grilled cheese pan which was also buttered up.
We add the cheese and breakfast sausage crumbles, top it off with the other waffle, smoosh it down and then start the flipping process.
I thought that this week we’d warm the syrup up and so I’ve poured it into the buttered pan and added a little hot sauce for some heat to balance out the sweet.
I also shook in some cinnamon and then mixed it all together.
Now we drench the grilled cheese waffles sandwich and we have…
Grilled Cheese Number Eleven!
Wow, this looks sweet and spectacular, let’s dig in!
This is a perfect blend of sweet and savory!
The waffles are buttery and soft, the breakfast sausage adds a nice savory flavor, the cheese is rich and creamy and the syrup is warm, sweet and has an underlying spicy heat thanks to the hot sauce we added in.
This was a fantastic grilled cheese sandwich!
For dessert we’ll have a little more frozen sweetness via this M&M ice cream treat.
I shmooshed it up till it was nice and melty and it was the perfect ending to this wonderful grilled cheese feast!
Fuuuuuuuck!
Rooster…Zebra…Grilled Cheese. It makes perfect sense!
