This week we’re getting our pandemic tacos at Childers Eatery. It closes at 3pm, so we have to make an early afternoon run there.
And once again I’m going on Sunday afternoon because my Monday is all booked up, so it’s off we go…
It’s snowing outside and I don’t know if I’ve ever expressed this on the blog before but I fucking HATE winter.
HATE HATE HATE it! Fuck winter!
Okay, here we are at Junction City.
Childers Eatery is located in the back of Junction City and I’m pissed that these two cars are kind of ruining my opening photo but what are you going to do?
Let’s go in and get our taco order for the week.
Okay, I went in and checked at the front counter and they said it would be a few minutes and they gave the okay to take a few photos in here, so let’s start snapping away with the MBIP Camera!
As you can see, there’s people in here as Peoria has allowed indoor dining to happen again.
I’m not going to be joining in as I’m in a high-risk group because of my heart, so we’ll continue to get our food to-go until I get a vaccine and feel safe to start dining out again.
Suddenly, condiments!
Check out the fancy jelly dispenser! I love that!
Meanwhile, back at the front counter, they’re busy folding napkins.
Hopefully my order will be up soon, I’m starving like you know who over here!
I took a shot from the outside front window and then all of a sudden…
Bam…Dallas shows up with our order looking super-cute in her mask! I love her bangs!
We’re back in the warmth and safety of MBIP World Headquarters Kitchen and Tasting Area and check out this tower of food!
We’ll start off with this week’s non-taco entry which are the Bacon Gouda Lollipops.
These are some unique appetizers which are lollipops made of gouda cheese and bacon which are breaded and then deep-fried.
They come with a honey mustard sauce and these things are as decadent and downright delicious as they sound! Unbelievably tasty, rich and heavenly good!
And now it’s time for another edition of…My Three Tacos!
My Three Tacos!
The first tacos were the Shrimp and Edamame tacos.
These are hard-shell tacos with glazed shrimp, corn edamame succotash and avocado. The shrimp was succulent and tasty and these were delicious and unique tacos!
Okay, these tacos are a little bit of a mess inside the carton!
These are the Chicken Bacon Chipotle Tacos and once I was able to put them together they were a tasty treat but just a little messy.
Oh well, what are you going to do?
The last and certainly not least tacos of the day were the Chimichurri Steak Tacos.
These were delicious tacos with seasoned delicious hunks of savory steak along with roasted peppers, caramelized onions and smoked blue cheese.
What a unique and tasty taco!
As tasty as those tacos were, I still can’t get over the Bacon Gouda Lollipops, these things were like a slice of heaven on earth!
You have to try them before you die, it’s just the rules!
