For this week’s Social Distance Sunday adventure, we’re going to be staying right here at MBIP World Headquarters. I’m taking this week off from work and I’m going to be cleaning my apartment.
Things have gotten a little out of hand here and I need to take some time to do some heavy-duty cleaning at the Headquarters. I’m starting with the bathroom and it was so messed up I don’t even want to show you the “before” pictures. But here’s the after shots of my gloriously clean bathroom now!
And then…Sunday dinner!
The MBIP World Headquarters Clean Bathroom!
There’s the sink and front counter, all shiny clean!
Plus a partial unplanned obligatory mirror shot. They’ll be a planned one coming up soon, don’t worry!
This is the little table I have next to the side of the toilet. I keep books, candles and a tiny little picture of Joan Jett on it.
Here’s the shower and toilet area. I do a lot of reading here.
The two books I’m currently reading are Duff McKagan’s memoir, “It’s So Easy (and other lies)” and “I’m Coming To Take You To Lunch - A Fantastic Tale of Boys, Booze and How Wham! Were Sold To China” by Simon Napier-Bell.
The latter book was hand-picked for me by Jessica Stephenson, owner and operator of lit. on fire used books. You can read more about that book and that post by clicking here.
Here’s the official obligatory bathroom mirror shot (while wearing the Obligatory MBIP T-Shirt) as promised!
And now…
Sunday Dinner!
I like to eat Sunday dinner at the MBIP World Headquarters these days. I like to prepare an easy but tasty meal on Sunday evening. I don’t want to go crazy like on the Thursday Minute Marty Meals, so I get prepared food that I just have to warm up.
Tonight’s dinner consists of Roasted Potatoes that I’ll add bacon and cheddar cheese to, deviled eggs (not pictured, they’re in the fridge) and for dessert, frosted cinnamon pita chips!
As I stated, the trick to Sunday dinner is to keep it easy yet tasty.
I seasoned the roasted potatoes with mustard powder, hot sauce, black pepper and drizzled them with French dressing. Then I popped them into the microwave oven for two minutes.
Now we’ll add some of the bacon and the cheddar cheese sauce and pop them back into the microwave for three more minutes.
And then, like magic, it’s time for…
Sunday dinner! A feast of deviled eggs, cheesy bacon potatoes and frosted cinnamon pita chips!
But first…
Sunday dinner wouldn’t be complete without a Bud Light tallboy. Cheers!
I had the deviled eggs first.
These were prepared at Schnucks and they were rich, creamy and delicious!
Now it’s time to dive in to the cheesy bacon roasted potatoes.
These were so tasty! The potatoes made for a nice solid base and the seasoning, bacon and melted cheddar made them a decadent and creamy delight!
A wonderful Sunday main course!
Dessert took it over the top!
I took Stacy’s Cinnamon Pita Chips and frosted them with Betty Crocker Whipped Vanilla Frosting and then sprinkled them with crumbled pita chips. They were a crunchy and sweet treat!
This was a lovely Sunday dinner and I feel good because my bathroom is clean! Hooray!
