Way back in May of 2014, we were up to our 16th week in our year of eating pizza journey. I had several people suggest I go and try out Larry’s Driftwood Pizza in Creve Coeur and on this saucy day, over six years ago with MBIP Wheelman, Scott Turley driving, that’s exactly what we did.
Oh Sherman, you know what to do!
Time to go back in time to May 20, 2014…

Larry’s Driftwood Pizza in Creve Coeur.
There’s Scott at the bar, already enjoying a cold pre-pizza beer.
Tony was the bartender on duty that day and served me up an ice-cold bottle of Budweiser.
Here’s the pizza menu on the wall just above the window that looks into the kitchen area.
They let me go back in the kitchen area and I took photos of Michael making our pizza pies.
Note the way the cheese is sliced and laid out on the pies, that’s a unique presentation for sure!
The pies are slid into the oven and then like magic…
Baboom! The pizzas appeared before our hungry eyes at the bar.
And yes, we need to cue up Eric Carmen after that last sentence.
I got the Meat Eaters pizza (top photo) and Scott got the Supreme.
This is thin crust pizza at its finest, the pizza was really tasty! I need to get back and get another pizza from here, I can’t believe it’s been over six years!
Time flies when you’re eating Pizza Pies! Thanks to Scott for driving and hanging out as always! I’ll see you for another road trip in post-pandemic times.
