Today is Joan Jett’s birthday. She’s one of my favorite rock ’n roll stars and I’ve been a fan since she was one of the teenage members in the band The Runaways, which I featured in this week’s Sunday Links.
I thought that we could be totally socially distant this Sunday by me showing you every picture I have of Joan Jett here at MBIP World Headquarters on a Sunday afternoon. That way I don’t even have to leave this place and be near anyone!
Then we’ll have a nice Sunday dinner. Okay, here we go!
Kitchen Cabinet Collage
I’m proud of the collage I made on my kitchen cabinets.
It’s not completely done and I need to finish it by spring, when I plan on moving the MBIP World Headquarters to a new location, but as you can see, Joan Jett is well represented here!
Joan Jett’s Mouth
Here’s two photos of Joan Jett’s mouth in my CD storage unit. Check out the tongue action in the middle photo!
Joan Jett: Framed!
There’s lots of framed Joan Jett photos on the walls here at MBIP World Headquarters!
Joan Jett Ticket
Here’s a ticket to the last Joan Jett & The Blackhearts show I went to.
It’s back when I was living in New York and I saw them at Irving Plaza on Sunday, October 15, 2006. Yikes, that was 14 years ago! Fun flies when you’re having time!
My Most Prized Joan Jett Possession!
My friend Brad Elvis and his band (along with his wife, Chloe F. Orwell) The Handcuffs opened up for Joan Jett and The Blackhearts at a show in Chicago. Brad was nice enough to bring a copy of fishwrap and she autographed it to me!
It says: “To Marty Rock till ya drop! Love, Joan Jett.”
Joan Jett loves me! I love you too, Joan, happy birthday!
Sunday Dinner
I went to HyVee and got my Sunday dinner after taking these photos.
I got Beef with Broccoli, Pretzel Bites with Cheese and some weird pseudo ice cream thingy that intrigued me for dessert.
While I microwaved the food, I enjoyed the first course, a giganzo 24 ounce can of Bud Light. Cheers!
Here’s my Sunday dinner all cooked and plated up, let’s dig in!
It was delicious!
This dessert thing is called, IttiBitz Cookies ‘n Cream.
When I opened it, it kind of looked like an infectious disease. It’s these frozen pellets and it tasted really weird. I won’t be eating this again! We’ll see you all tomorrow!
