The meat section at the store was a little picked over due to the stories about a meat shortage that could be happening due to the ongoing pandemic. I did happen to find a pork roast and so I thought I’d build this week’s Marty Meal around that. So there!
Now let’s get cooking!
The ingredients I bought for this week’s Marty Meal are, clockwise from left: Giorgio Shiitakee Mushrooms, a Texas Smokehouse Pork Roast, Kraft Old English Cheese Spread and two cartons of Pasta-Roni.
I’ll also be using sauces and spices from the MBIP World Headquarters Kitchen.
The main ingredient in this meal is theis Texas Smokehouse Pork Roast. It’s pre-seasoned with dry rub, but we’ll add some more seasonings to really boost the flavor!
I put the pork roast in a pan and then added steak sauce, hot sauce, I punctured it with a knife so it could absorb these seasonings and then I added 816 hot barbecue sauce and a generous sprinkling of black pepper and ground mustard.
I covered it with foil and we’ll slow bake this for about two hours in a 300 degree oven.
Beer break! Whassup (Quarantine Edition)?
Now let’s make the pasta portion of the dinner. I have two cartons of Parmesan and Romano Cheese Pasta Roni. Check out the cocaine that comes with the pasta, I love that! We’ll add water, stir it with an index finger that I just washed so it’s Corona free and we’ll nuke them in the microwave.
Okay the pasta has been nuked, we’ll add in the seasoning and pour it into a pre-heated pan. Then we’ll add the shiitake mushrooms, some black pepper, the entire jar of Old English Cheese Spread and some hot sauce and mix it all together.
It’s really tasty and this could be a meal unto itself, but we’re going to make it even better by adding the pork roast to this flavorful mix!
We’ll take the pork roast out of the oven as the pasta mixture is simmering on the stove and it looks and smells delicious! I cut into it and it looks heavenly!
I cut half of it up into bite size pieces and then mixed it into the pasta mixture. I put a lid on it and we’ll let it simmer for about ten minutes and then we can eat it right out of the pan!
It’s time to present this week’s Thursday Minute Marty Meal!
Wow, this is a delicious casserole pan dinner! The pork is tender and filled with flavor from the dry rub and the sauces and seasonings. The mushrooms and pasta add a nice flavor level to the meal and it’s savory and satisfying!
I tried to find pictures of women and pork for this week’s titillating pictorial, but there wasn’t any good ones on the interwebs, so I just went with pictures of women in the kitchen. Enjoy!
Have a wonderful Thursday if that’s even possible in these quarantine times!
