Live, from Peoria, Illinois, it’s Saturday Afternoon Curbside Pickup starring Lou’s Drive-In with special guest star Erin.
Now Please welcome, Lou’s Drive-In!
Here we are driving up to Lou’s and parking in our curb-side spot. There’s a decent crowd here picking up food. Good for Lou’s!
There’s a shot of the classic Lou’s sign from my car.
And there’s some of the people waiting for their to-go orders at Lou’s.
This is Erin bringing my curb-side order to the MBIP Mobile. It was good to see her again and she’s looking cute in her mask!
There’s my order in the seat of my car…
And here it is in the MBIP World Headquarters Kitchen and Tasting Area. Let’s plate the meal up.
I got an order of onion rings and I’ll reveal my sandwich in the next photo…
I got a tenderloin, which I’ve never had at Lou’s and it looks fantastic! I got it with onions and I’ll put some mustard on it soon.
Usually I’ll have a chili-cheese dog and chili-cheese fries at Lou’s, but I didn’t think they would travel well and would be kind of soggy when I got home.
I thought the tenderloin and onion rings would travel better and I think I was right!
I put some ketchup on the onion rings and they were crispy and delicious!
I added some spicy Sandwich Pal Mustard and black pepper to the tenderloin and I’m ready to dig in to this magnificent looking sandwich!
Wow, this is one tasty sandwich, it was the perfect curbside selection!
And I washed down the meal with some of Lou’s homemade root beer. I missed being able to eat it there, but in these pandemic times, this is better than nothing.
Like I mentioned earlier in the post, I had to think about a sandwich and side that would travel well. The onion rings and tenderloin were perfect choices. The onion rings were still crispy when I got home and they were a delicious side dish.
The tenderloin was still warm and it was a savory treat!
I’ve never had a tenderloin from Lou’s and I like the fact that it’s not a giganzo size like some of the tenderloins around here are. The breading was crispy and it was tasty and juicy inside. The bun was toasted and bakery fresh and it was a fabulous curbside meal!
