Kentucky Fried Chicken was all over the news last week because they have a new person portraying Colonel Sanders and that person is country singer/songwriter, Reba McEntire. This is the first time that a woman has been chosen to be the Colonel and on Friday I posted the following Tweet to mark this clucked-up occasion.
And to further celebrate all things KFC, I’ve got six Kentucky Fried Chicken links below and following that are the MBIP Coming Attractions for next week! Scroll on down, mothercluckers!
Reba McEntire Is KFC’s New Colonel Sanders - Here’s the scoop on the Reba thing. I had no idea all those other actors had played Colonel Sanders in the past.
Why Japan Is Obsessed with Kentucky Fried Chicken on Christmas - I had never heard of this bizarre Christmas tradition in Japan before!
How Kentucky Fried Chicken Learned To Embrace The Colonel–And Their Full Name - This two year old article may just have inspired the Reba McEntire idea! Check out the last two sentences in the article.
The Hilariously Punny Reason Kentucky Fried Chicken Follows Only 11 People on Twitter - Before you read this article, go to the KFC Twitter follower page and see if you get the joke. It’s pretty fucking genius and a great use of social marketing.
KFC Mutant Chickens - This article debunks a popular KFC urban legend.
DNA Test Results Are In for KFC 'Deep-Fried Rat' - KFC got all Maury Povich for a little bit! Rats, it turns out it really was chicken!
We’ve got a fun week coming up here at MBIP and it’s going to start off tomorrow with yet another cheeseburgerly Saturday Night @ The Germantown Grille. They recently won a best cheeseburger award so I went and tried it out and you can see the results tomorrow. Tuesday we continue the seven months of steak tour and we’re up to week number fifteen and my friends Amber and Joe joined me to try out the Irish Whiskey Steak at Donnelly’s Irish Pub. Wednesday is the sixth annual counting of the gumball machines at Northwoods Mall. Just like last year, MBIP commenter and once-in-a-blue-moon guest star, Chad Wallace will be joining me and he’ll be the official counter of the gumball machines! Thursday we’ve got yet another random People of Peoria person and Friday is another Fast Food Friday edition. I think in honor of the whole KFC thing with Reba McEntire I’m going to go and try some of their original KFC chicken which I haven't had in years! Then Saturday we’ll have yet another disgusting MBIP Tasteless and Somewhat Crude Saturday Cartoon that not too many people seem to want to acknowledge! Okay that’s next week, but now I have to get ready for the arrival of Chad Wallace because today is the day we’re counting the gumball machines at Northwoods Mall! Have a wonderful and funderful Sunday and we'll see you all tomorrow!

P.S. Tune In To The Church of Rock Tonight!
I’ve been doing a weeklyMBIP feature on the radio show The Church Of Rock which is broadcast worldwide out of Oregon. Check out and like their facecrack page right here. Every week I pick a song and give a little talk about it before the song is played on the show. The hosts of the show are Rev. Derek Moody (some of you know him as Bloody Mess) and Sister Tracy. It’s a lot of fun and tonight we’re talking about a song by The Beatles. The show starts at 9PM CST and my segment will air around 9:30PM. Be there or be L7! You can listen by streaming from the KSKQ website right here!
