It was 50 years ago today, Sgt. Pepper taught the band to play. This week marks the 50th anniversary of the release of The Beatles milestone album, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. There’s all kinds of special discs, downloadable music, DVD’s and everything else being released to commemorate and make even more money off of this legendary album. I thought with all of this hoopla going on, I’d join in and put up six Sgt. Pepper links today for your clicking perusal. Then, below that are the coming attractions for next week here on MBIP! A splendid time is guaranteed for all!

The Sixth Tattoo - Last year I got “1967” tattooed on my arm because it’s my favorite year. One of the reasons being is that was the year that Sgt. Pepper came out and you can read about my Sgt. Pepper experience by scrolling to the end of the post.
Last night I went for my summer-starting trip to Lou’s Drive-In, I thought it would be an appropriate post for Memorial Day tomorrow. Tuesday is sandwich number 48, only four more weeks to go and then it’s time to pick the best sandwich of the year! Wednesday I’m taking a photo tour of eight roadside attractions here in Peoria including Vanna Whitewall, the Emo Creepy Clown and a half dozen more. I’m waiting on an email about something I’m trying to plan for Thursday and I have no idea about what’s going to go up on Friday. Stay tuned for all of this and have a funny, sunny and runny Memorial Day everyone!
