Last night I watched the movie, Glengarry Glen Ross and it’s one of my all time favorite movies. It’s got a great cast and I love how the majority of the film just takes place in a dismal, depressing office. Here’s some links to the movie, if you’ve never watched it, you should check it out! Usually coming attractions are shown before a movie, but here on MBIP they’re shown afterwards, so there!
Glengarry Glen Ross Original Movie Review by Roger Ebert From 1992
He gave it three and a half stars, that’s about as good as it gets!
Essay on Alec Baldwin’s Scene in Glengarry Glen Ross
The movie is adapted from a play by David Mamet, but this scene was shot and written solely for the film. I think Alec Baldwin should’ve gotten an Oscar for it and I’m sure, Mike D’Angelo who wrote this essay for The Onion’s A.V. Club would agree with me.
The Alec Baldwin Scene
Here’s that aforementioned Alec Baldwin scene. A.B.W...Always Be Watching!

An essay of the 20th anniversary of Glengarry Glen Ross and a perfect subtitle for the film.
Tomorrow we have our Saturday Night Dinner at The Fish House, but there’s going to be a little twist on this week’s Saturday post, I’d tell you what it is, but then you might not tune in tomorrow! Tuesday marks the 15th week in the “A Year In The Life Of A Sandwich” tour and this week we stop at Khaki Jack’s for their newest sandwich creation! I’m still trying to figure out Wednesday and Thursday, although I think that on Thursday we may be stopping to take a look at Maurie’s Fine Candies in Pekin and see how they’ve done in remodeling that store and as always, I have no idea what will be up here on Friday. So stay tuned for all of that and have a wonderful and blunderful Sunday, everybody! We’ll see you all tomorrow!

Happy Birthday, Jon!
Continuing in our MBIP September birthday parade, today we wish a very happy birthday to Jon, who we first met at Amber’s Microwave Birthday Party. Jon made his MBIP mark that very first night we met him by cooking every single microwave dish that evening and doing a stellar job of it! Happy birthday, Jon!
