Tony Moreschi, owner of Khaki Jack’s came by our Butch’s Pizza Party last Sunday and so I thought in honor of him coming to our party, tonight we’d go and visit Khaki Jack’s which is just minutes from MBIP World Headquarters. But first...
Let’s see who’s knocking on the door...
Uh, oh, it’s someone in a disguise, so we’ll just have to wait to discover this undercover identity. But this person is literally driving me to drink tonight! We thought we’d have a couple of pre-Khaki Jack’s beers here at the MBIP World Headquarters...
And then it's off we go, sailing into the night. Khaki Jack's is just a hop, skip and not even a jump from the MBIP Headquarters and before you know it...
Here we is! See I told you our mystery guest was literally driving me to drink and this is the place where the drinking shall be done.
We'll just walk through this kangaroo-decorated door and let the evening begin!
The bar is about half full, but the big news tonight is that neither Pete nor Reggie, two of Khaki Jack's most regular regulars are in the bar tonight! Let's go see who's occupying their corner over here...
Michelle and John have staked out Pete and Reggie's normal corner spot, but it's okay, Michelle is Pete's cousin, so everything is relative and it all works out in the end!
We've settled in to our seats and bartender John serves up a bottle of Bud while giving us the one-finger salute all at the same time! This guy has some mad skills, I tell ya!
There's always free peanuts at the bar and no one is more excited about this than Gumby!
This is the view from our seats at the end of the bar.
Lights hang overhead beneath the tin ceiling and illuminate the bar.
There's a spacious dining room opposite the bar, it's empty now because it's way past dinner time and the kitchen is closed.
Booths line the far wall in the dining room.
This guy has been riding this same crocodile up in the rafters for years, but they never seem to reach their destination. Kind of sad!
A Guinness sign blazes from above!
The back wall is emblazoned with the Khaki Jack's mural of the land of Oz.
Speaking of Oz, here's some license plates from the land down under. I should also take this moment to give a shoutout to Tim Clack, an MBIP pal who lives in Australia! Howdy, Clacky!
Mr. Peanut always creeps me out, but this picture is probably the creepiest Mr. Peanut in the Universe! I think it's his spindly legs. Sheesh!
Super Bowl Party at Khaki Jack's! I usually stay home and hide on that day.
There's a large choice of bottled beers at Khaki Jack's. There's another cooler down at the end of the bar that's fully-stocked too!
Christmas may be over, but there's still a shiny Christmas tree lurking up in the rafters here at Khaki Jack's!
And there's also a Christmas Story lamp in the window year round. Careful, it's fragile!
John's busy behind the bar...
And I think our mystery guest is about to reveal her true identity!
The disguise has been removed...the mystery guest is none other than...
Amber, looking pretty as always! She said that John makes the best Manhattan's in Peoria so we each ordered one. I had never had a Manhattan and John did a great job crafting the drink. Thanks to him and to Amber for driving and being the mystery guest star of the evening! We'll see you all tomorrow! And hey, let's be careful out there!

You might know her name, or face, or have even shared a Power Zone workout with Yvonne Greer… but unless you’re in her “inner circle” you won’t know her like this until you hear her sing. Join Yvonne for an intimate evening that will take you on a musical journey through her life. She’ll share personal stories and sing songs that reflect her humble beginnings in Detroit, her creatively financed college life at the University of Illinois, her time as a TV/Radio broadcaster in Peoria and Chicago, and even the juicy stuff—how she snagged the love of her life, Greg Batton.
The music will be as colorful and as varied as her life has been, blurring the lines between R&B, Oldies, Rock, Pop, and Country as needed to form her tapestry.
