Last November I asked all of you to help me find some kids from a picture featuring Captain Jinks and Salty Sam that I put up on facecrack. Within a day we were able to find one of the kids and crack the mystery as to who they were. Well that leads us to today’s post.
Last night I was getting some beer and gas at the Circle K off of 150 on my way home. I paid up, got my change and then noticed some writing on the dollar bill that came with my change. Check it out:
It says: “Happy 1st Birthday Cheyenne.”
Followed by Love, Grandma & Grandpa 11-6-2013:
After I read it, I showed it to the cashier who said, “I wonder why it was spent?”
I’m curious too. This should be something that Cheyenne should have and I feel bad that I’ve got it. Let’s try and see if we can find Cheyenne via social media. Here’s how you can help. I’m going to put up a link to this post at 11AM today on facecrack and Twitter. If you all can share the facecrack page and retweet it on Twitter maybe we can find Cheyenne and return the dollar bill. Use the hashtag: #letsfindcheyenne on your shares and retweets. I feel a little guilty having it and would like to return it to the rightful owner. So let’s see if we can create a litlle magic here on MBIP! Please share, retweet and encourage others to do the same. I’ll keep you updated on news about Cheyenne and thanks in advance for your help!
Oh and I decided to write something on a dollar bill myself and spend it today and see if we hear from anyone. Here’s the dollar bill that I’m paying forward, it says, “Call me at 309-657-8761 & I’ll buy you lunch & put you on my blog.” Lets’ see if anyone responds to that, stay tuned! We’ll see you all tomorrow!

An Upcoming Independent Feature Film That Was Shot In Peoria Is In The Works!
There’s an independent film currently being made that utilized Peoria and local talent and should be out within the year. The film is called, “For Out Of The Heart” It’s produced by Mike and Bob Mayo and written by their father, Bill. Here’s some information about the film that Mike sent to me:
Our film credits include the names of over 400 individuals, nearly all from Central Illinois, who made this project a reality. Of interest to you, perhaps, was our engagement with local officials and organizations...and wow, we got ton of support from the area. Mayor Jim Ardis has a cameo; we 'took over' the homicide unit of the Peoria police department for a day, shooting with captains, officers, sergeants as extras; filmed at St. Bernard's parish and rectory in the East Bluff neighborhood; mocked a funeral at Springdale Cemetery, also attended by Central Illinois fire departments and police from multiple cities, and more—including: Joan's trophy, Pekin Trophy, Knapp Johnson Funeral home, Peoria County Morgue (creepy all day shot—don't recommend hanging out in morgue for longer than 10 hours); Creve Couer Club, Twin Towers, Associated Bank top floor, Civic Center, JMP Radio (Top floor of Civic Center plaza), Peoria Animal Shelter, Murray Arts Building, Apollo Theatre (including 100 extras in large mock TV show) and more (including various radio stations, Central Illinois Film Commission, etc).
Wow, sounds very cool! Check out the updates and like their facecrack page by clicking here. Looking forward to this movie! It’ll be out this year and it’ll be featured here on MBIP when it is released!
