Hello everyone!
This month's post comes from lovely Charleston, South Carolina. Today is a walking tour of Charleston, tomorrow will be the bar crawl segment!
Charleston is one of my favorite cities. I first went there in 2004, and these pictures are from my latest trip on 4-5-6 July, 2013. All of these pictures are in the exact order I took them. This city is pretty awesome, and I could take hundreds of snapshots—but I'm limited to 40 for this post and these are 40 of my favorites from this latest trip.
If anyone ever gets a chance to go to Charleston! You won't be disappointed. Plenty of things to look at, lots of places to eat, and plenty of pubs/bars/taverns—you can't go wrong here. Just follow along and you’ll see!
Here’s the United States Post Office built in 1896. It’s part of the "The Four Corners of Law"—St. Michael's - God's Law; Post Office - Federal Law; Courthouse - State Law; City Hall - Local Law.
Fireworks on July 4th!
Fountain at our hotel—a cool place to chill at the end of the night with my nightcap drink!
Time for a little walk in the morning.
Here’s the Old Exchange Building.
This stretch of street and colorful houses are known as Rainbow Row.
There is a theme here—I love brick, and things made of brick!
Our hotel, The Mills House.
This restaurant is named, Slightly North of Broadway and it’s also known as, S.N.O.B.
Here’s the Charleston City Market.
I've taken more pictures of this alley than anything else in Charleston.
Spooky Smoopy!
This is the Circular Congregational Church.
Appropriately, we end this tour with a shot of Charleston's oldest public building—The Powder Magazine. Stay tuned for the bar crawl tomorrow!
