Ding, ding and ding…the donation bell has rung again today!

I ran into my friend, Brad Erickson at Schnuck’s yesterday and he said he’s been enjoying following along on the bar crawl here at MBIP.

Then he generously pulled out a twenty dollar bill for a donation to the blog and that was so nice! Thanks so much, Brad, great to see you and I appreciate your generosity!

Okay, tonight we’re headed off on a road trip with my friend, Jim, the man formerly known as Vern Damico and whom we now call, Karl.

We’ll see him soon behind the wheel if you just keep scrolling on down!

Bar Number 177: The Warehouse Bar & Grill, Wednesday, July 29, 2026

There he is, Karl behind the wheel!

We actually had a false start this evening. We tried to go to another destination and it was just too crowded and the bar was completely full. So Karl had a great idea on a different place to go to and we’re off to that bar right now!

And now, a word from the other Karl…

“I sure hope Karl is going to get some of them French fried potaters this week. He disappointed me last week…mmm…hmmm.”

Here we go, moving on down the road looking through a windshield covered in birdshit. Two words, Karl: Car Wash!

Okay, we’re here in Hanna City and there’s the sign for the legendary restaurant known for its fried chicken, Gil’s Supper Club. However, this is not tonight’s destination, we’re going to walk around the corner to…

The Warehouse Bar & Grill, which is the sister bar and grill to Gil’s.

There’s Karl holding the door as we enter our 177th bar of this 365 tour!

There’s part of the bar in here, there’s actually another section we’ll reveal soon. For now, let’s grab a chair and get settled in here for the evening!

Terren and Cindy were the two pretty ladies behind the bar for the evening and it was great to see both of them.

This was Terren’s first night back after taking a few years off and Cindy is the owner here and she remembered me from a past blog I did in here, which was nice!

I took the advice from the sign and had them PBR me and there’s Karl with his drink and he donned some glasses for a first time on the blog! Yes, he’s making a spectacle of himself tonight, but what are you going to do?

Note that he’s wearing the Sheet’s Creek t-shirt that we got on our trip there, nice!

Karl’s perusing the menu for his dinner while I got up to take a few photos in here.

There’s the back of the bar and the other section that I promised I’d show you.

I met Lex in my travels and here she is posing for the MBIP Camera while flashing a beautiful smile! It was great to meet and have a chat with her!

There’s a large dining area opposite the bar and there’s the hours for lunch, dinner and the Happy Hour in here.

There’s gaming machines in the front corner over here for all of you gamblers out there.

Meanwhile, back at the bar, Karl’s dinner has arrived!

He got the tenderloin and a side dish of green beans. Green beans? I don’t think Karl’s going to be too happy about that choice.

“Karl chose them green beans over French fried potaters? That ain’t a choice a normal man would make. I’m starting to think this Karl is a little light in the loafers, not that there’s nothing wrong with that…mmmm…hmmm.”

That tenderloin was so huge, Karl had to trim it down to fit the bun. It looks fantastic!

Even trimmed down, it was a huge sandwich and Karl managed to fit it into his mouth!

I had tried part of it and this is one of the best tenderloins in the Peoria area! If you’re a tenderloin lover, you need to try this one out!

Thanks to Terren, Cindy, Lex and everyone at The Warehouse Bar & Grill for a fabulous evening!

And thanks to Karl for driving, hopefully next week he’ll get some of them French fried potaters!
