Almost three years ago, Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom re-opened as Grand Prairie Pizza & Tavern. We’re going to visit the tavern section of this re-branded restaurant as they now become the 139th stop of our 365 bar tour.

Here we are at Grand Prairie Pizza & Tavern. Let’s go in, but before we do, please note the obligatory mirror shot on the door.
Okay, let’s go in and start our Saturday night out on the town!
There’s the entrance, there’s booths lining the walls over here and a dining area over here, but we’re headed to…
The bar!
And I see a couple of familiar faces sitting down at the end of it…
It’s my friends and frequent guest stars, Amber and Joe! Always great to have them along and they’re looking fantastic, as always!
Lavina was the pretty and friendly bartender on duty and here she is serving me up a Pabst Blue Ribbon tallboy! Our paths have crossed on the blog before and it was great to see her again!
She took our dinner order and the night is off to a wonderful start!
Mark was seated nearby and here he is posing with Bell who was also working behind the bar, nice to see both of them!
As you can see, they have an impressive amount of beers on tap behind the bar.
For our appetizer we ordered up some Thai Chili wings and they were flavorful, juicy and delicious!
There’s dining tables opposite the bar, communal tables in the back and there’s gaming machines back here too if you’re feeling lucky. Well, do ya punk?
Meanwhile, back at the bar…
The main course has arrived, a lovely pizza pie, just for us!
We got the Hand Tossed Ale Crust with mushrooms, green peppers and extra cheese. It looks absolutely fantastic!

The pizza was really tasty! The sauce had a nice flavor and the crust was cooked perfectly!

The Drinks
