Last Tuesday I was scrolling around on facecrack and I stumbled upon this post:

Bar Number 118: Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse, Tuesday, May 12, 2026
Here we are at Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse in East Peoria. And yes, I hate the fact that it’s close to 7:30pm and it’s still light out. I’ll try and remember to get a night shot when we leave later when sweet darkness has fallen!
For now, let’s go in and see what’s happening in there.
Here’s Camrin, who’s the host for the evening. I told him I was just headed to the bar for the half-priced martinis and he told me to head on over there, so that’s exactly what we’ll do!
There’s the bar and as you can see, it’s bathed in blue light!
While I love the ambiance the blue lights bring, as you will see, it kind of messed up my photos in here, keep on scrolling to see what I’m talking about.
Here’s the first example, this menu isn’t really this blue, it’s the lights. But as you can see, they have a nice selection of different martinis in here!
Tess was the friendly and pretty bartender on duty and here she is serving up the first martini of the evening, bathed in the blue light in here.
This is their Citrus Basil martini and it was delicious and it’s not as blue as it looks. These blue lights are starting to bug me as I edit the photos!
There’s the back of the bar and it’s not really as blue as the photo looks. I’m really starting to hate the blue lights in here and what they’ve done to these photos!
Bob was seated nearby and he’s in town from Indianapolis. He said his work brings him to Peoria often and it turns out we’re both friends with Maggie and Mark Misselhorn! It’s a small world, but as Steven Wright once said, I wouldn’t want to paint it! Or something like that! Great to meet and chat with Bob!
Here’s the bar, it actually isn’t that blue in here, but the lights have really screwed these photos up!
This is Paige, who’s the Managing Director in here and the blue lights wrecked this photo of her! It’s weird, because I’ve taken photos in here at the bar before and this never happened. They must’ve installed some really blue lights in here and it’s driving me crazy!
Tess took a photo of the beers on tap in here and the blue light destroyed this photo too! See, it’s not just me!
Okay, I had other photos, but they’re all destroyed by this crazy blue hue in here! Here’s the other three martinis I had in here. This is a great deal on Tuesday nights, half price martinis all night long! Just don’t try to take any photos in here!
Here’s that nighttime shot I promised you and we’re now outside and free of the blue hue! Hooray!
